Resident Evil 2 for PS1 on PS2

Hello all,

I have a PS2 V7 with a DMS3 V2.0 modchip.

Everything is functioning normal except that I cannot play my PS1 backup of Resident Evil 2 on the machine.

It loads up to the Playstation logo and freezes there. Other PS1 backups work fine.

The same happens with the second CD.

I used Alcohol 120% to burn the backups.

What can I do to fix this.

Hey, very interesting to note that I'm having the same problem w/ Resident Evil 3:Nemesis ....I don't really have any other games with that problem... Extra security on these games or something?

If I get a ps1 to test it on, I'll report back

Hi,

I think it may have something to do with the CD writer that I have been using. The same backup done on a different CD writer runs with no problem

i think re3 is a anti mod chip game

try this list of patches cause the game is protected. then see if it works
