Question about 0x1F000000 (AR)
Question about 0x1F000000 (AR) –

I doubt anyone even READS these forums anymore with the PS2 itself getting old (much less the PS1 I'm asking about..), but it's worth a try.
Does anyone know of a good technical analysis of the Action Replay (and clones) hardware? In particular, I'd like to know how the hardware button on the device is handled. About the only things I know is where the AR actually sits in memory, how the BIOS decides to boot to it, and how much space the whole thing is allowed to use in the memory map (~8MB)
I'm pretty sure that the hardware button twiddles something in RAM that the AR software checks for on each pass, but I don't actually know WHAT that is.
Can anyone help?
