Put a PS2 inside of a PS1?

I really needed help finding someway to get a PS2 inside of a PS1. Is this possible? I heard it is. What are your guys thought on the matter. He needs it to look like a PS1 but be able to play DVDs and MP3 off a disc. Maybe even just mod a PS1 to play DVDs and MP3 would that be easier? I am in Toronto, Canada and am looking around for mod shops to try a get this done. Any suggestion, comments, or tips would be a lot of help.

Might be possible. You would have to use a ps2 slim and replace all the PS1 parts except the case of course.

Thanks for the reply indirect76, I guess i'm just gonna take these ideas to a place or person the mods PS1 and PS2. I'll remember your suggestions of a ps2 slim. If anybody else has any thoughts or info chime in.

Hey spud42 thanks for telling me about Ben Heck. I never heard of him and might submit this a challenge. Both of you have given me a lot of different angles to try solve this. Thank you again. Anybody else got some suggestions?
