i gots three different pic12-508 and a 509 and i know one is a stealth. what are the nums and letters on the chip, specifically if it has: either- HAM 9848, or HAG 9915, or HBA 9903.
If these match any of yours or anybody can help me identify them it would be greatly appreciated.
i have the HBM listed as old crow v.1.2 and the HAG as an A-mode stealth but neither seems to respond to pu-8 , pu18, pu-20, or pu23. can i verify the chip through the pin5 or 6?
anyone?

What kind of PICS are those ? 12c508, 12c509 ? Why don't you read them with a pic programmer ? If the code protect fuse was not set, you can read it, and see what code is in them. If the code protect was set, still you can examine the first section of the read code which usually contains the developer/verison/etc... (and that is not scrambled) This would help. Then you would know what code you have, and you could search for the install pictures then. Without knowing the proper code, it's hard to tell (nearly impossible) what diagrams you should use... As the PIC 12c508/09 is the most used PIC for PSX modification, there are at least a few dozen pictures you should try if you don't know the proper code version.

There are as I said dozens of diagrams, also the soldering points can be different. I doubt that there is such a web page that collects all diagrams... About stealth: Multimode 2.xx, Multimode 3.xx, Mayumi Vx.x and also their clones. I can't count them.

modchip diagrams –

yes you are correct there are many diagrams, but most of the points are similar in where they point to and go to-from.
mayumi codes are covered on the R.E.I site along with some history on the advent of the modchips themselves also a site with many diagrams is the maxking site I am not affilliated with any site and can only vouch that i have used some of their diagrams as working and valid for the pic-chips of the 12508 and 12509 series.
to uns97: thanks for that technical reply unfortunately i do not have a programmer otherwise i would not have asked that type of question. my knowledge of how the or what the: exists in only in installing the programmed chip not what it does in its functions internally within the modchip. I realize that , duh, i need a programmer/and or reader to validate the original write. thanks
hmmm... on that note if there is anyone in san diego california who can help me out a bit it would be greatly appreciated. I went to the house in Poway that I had bought many mayumi based modchips in the past but got no answer at the door, if you atre out there you used to advertise in the reader-san diego modchips $8, I was always calling you , contact me. (okay, it a shot in the dark, but worth a try)
ps2newz rocks, where else could all this info bring the world and all of us together like a friend down the street!!!
If you are still having problems i will transfer all my diagrams to share if needed. just let me know.... ant
