psone v2

hi i recently fitted a chip to ps1v2 it all worked fine for a couple of weeks it came back to me it powers up and lights up like normal but no disc spin so i pulled apart and checked connections are all ok so i removed mod chip and re-tryed still the same this is a brand new system any idears as to whats happening thanks zoom,,

ive fitted them on v1 and v2 and have not happend to me..
hum.. wonder what the customer might have done to the unit?
had a older unit do that but the one hub balls were floating around the unit and i though it might have shorted something out
