psone problems

does anybody now why a psone can be chipped then all of a sudden there iss no laser spin ie dead as a dodo. would a fuse
on the motherboard be to blame anyone have any ideas??

Hey man,
I doubt its the fuse cause you wouldent have any power at all..
But what would I know...

Check out the solder points... You may have to re solder...
All depends thou, Are you gettin power? If so I really doubt its the fuse... Just recheck your solder conections man!....

ive got the same problems.
however ive taken the chip off and still no laser movement and spin. the laser is gettting power though cause it lights up when i first turn the power on.

does anyone know what it could be?
