PSONE broken,what could be wrong ? –
i know this isn't the place for PSONE but it isn't visited much so...
I have a broken psone,it doesn't power up, i know the poweradaptor is fine, i tested it on another one.
What could be wrong with it, some fuses or something ?
Does the green power light come on ?
Open up the machine and look directly below the yellow power plug, you will see a small black surface mounted fuse. This will need to be replaced and then you should be up and running again, i normally use what is called a pico fuse rated at 2 amps.
I will post a photo tomorrow, i left my camera at work.
I will open it up tommorrow, is it possible that i find such a fuse on a PS2 V4 motherboard ?
Hi, i've measured that fuse but it seems to read out something so i don't think it's broken...
I've measured the PS thingies and these don't give out something :
so these should be broken yes ?
Can i replace them with any pieces of a PS2 V4 motherboard ???
I have attached a picture of the fuses on a v4 ps2 board. Use the 1.2 Amps fuses to replace the playstation one fuses.
i really appreciate your help
will let you know if it turns out ok...
