Could i just clip the wires going from the board to the modchip? I did a really good job soldering them... If not, then ill just unsolder them
ok, i disconnected all the wires EXCEPT the red and blue ones (pins 1 and 8). and nothing happens (no power light). Then, i disconnected the red and blue wires too, and the playstation works perfectly. Do i have a defective chip?
If you have the colours on pins 1 and 8 as in the attached picture, then your chip is defective.
ok, the chip is defective, i am sure of it. Unfortunatly, the guy i bought the chip from is not answering any of my emails... Where would be a good place to buy a quality chip from?
