Theoretically NTSC and PAL both have their advantages. However, it seems (and sadly I've only recently became aware of this) that most of the time game developers favor NTSC, as most of the gaming population is in these regions, and begin by publishing the games in NTSC and only then make PAL conversions which most times are crappy conversions, to save time and money, which are just slowed down to synch to the lower framerate and have black borders to fill the screen.

What I'd like to know is, in your experience, how much are pal psx games affected by these crappy conversions. Which do you think are generally better to play in the psx: PAL or NTSC? And why?
