I know what everyone says, plugging a PS1 into a big LCD TV looks literally horrible. So let's turn the cake, what would be a good solution for someone who doesn't have an old CRT TV saved from ancient times? Playing on a computer screen? Would perhaps a smaller LCD work decently?

Well, the only solution (besides playing PS1 games on the PSP which is great), is to have a good LCD TV.
And by that I mean an LCD TV that has different screen size and ratio options, so you can choose the one you prefer.

you can try something like epsxe as well. computer emulators are able to render the games in higher resolution, although they can't really do much for the textures.
