modded original playstation up on ebay

Hey - sorry for my first post to be about a sale, but I've got a modded original playstation up on ebay.

ebay's policy prevents me from listing the fact that its modded on their site, but it is - I'm the original owner, and installed the mod myself years ago - don't remember the name. I was about an inch long, wrapped in black electrical tape and had 3 3-4 inch thin leads that were soldered to the underside of the motherboard.

I tested the system last night with an old back up of test drive 4 - worked fine.

anyway, console, 1 controller, power cord, a/v cord, and 3 games (including final fantasy VII) are included - no backups or imports are included, only US legal games.

System won't let me post links - but if you search ebay for "PlayStation 1 Gray Console NTSC SCPH-5501 - complete with 3 games" it will come up as the first listing - to make sure your looking at the right one - the ending time is Mar 22, 2013 19:35:57 PDT

Its up as an auction with a buy it now . . .

shame you are not from the uk i would have brought it from you, i had a modchip ps1 a long time ago but it was stolen

your Final Fantasy VII was probably worth more that the rest of the system put together.

Game here in Australia were selling good condition copies for over $100. offered me $50 for my copy but i said no...

You can ask the ebay seller if the console is modded or not.

I see that know - guess I didn't know what I had . . . I'll have to keep my eye out at flea markets / garage sales to see if I can find any more copies of FF7

Anyway, good that it sold, but (n00b question ahead), whats the difference when its been modded? Can you play Dl'd & burnt games?
