Ok I was installing a STEALTH chip on my psx and in the directions I got it says "vertical side" for the red soldering point on the circuit board. What does this actually mean?

"Vertical only"???![]()
It didn't show anything on the link you provided. Can you be a bit more specific.

It doesnt say it in the picture but in the diagram they sent me it says it...the diagram looks like thisand it says Vertical Side not Vertical Only sorry
Just solder to the vertical (upright) leg that the arrow points to in your diagram
PR
vertical (upright) leg??? like solder it along the horizontal point?
Like solder the wire to the vertical side of the resistor that's sticking up there.
BTW, I've moved this to the PSX forum where it belongs.
so i actually solder it "up" the side of the black thing stick out ot the board?
do it on the side its pointing to
Come on tr4il, this isn't rocket science.
Look closely at the component and use a maginfying glass if necessary. See how it has a leg on each side, soldered to the motherboard? Solder your wire to the little metal contact on the side of the component pointed to by the diagram that leads down to and touches the motherboard. It's that frickin' simple...
I know its not rocket science, but what I really want to know is if the tip of the wire has to touch the component as well as the leg on the side that touches the circuit board...like this little pic.Originally posted by Balto
