MM3 chip doesnt seem to work

Hi all,

I have bought an MM3 (euro) chip from EurAsia and installed it in a 7502 machine, I used 7 wires.
Pin 2 is not connected to anything.

At first it made the laser spin like crazy, made a lot of noise... i figured that wasn't a good sign... so i did all the soldering again to make sure it wasn't faulty.
After that it functioned fine... but it does not seem to play backups.

I made a copy of an original (dino crisis) exactly like a tutorial on this website said, made the iso.. burned the iso.
But on booting up this backup the psx shows me the cd-player screen.. the game doesn't boot up.

What could be wrong?
Is this chip empty... did they forget to program the HEX code?
Or is perhaps my soldering wrong?

Chip did work, it appeared that it could read copies when the psx was tilted sideways. Problem with the chip is solved.

Then you have laser problems, i wrote about that in the other post.
