I need help for adjusting ps1 lens support scraws
I need help for adjusting ps1 lens support scraws –
I mistakely unscrewed all of three screw on the bottom of lens pickup.
now,It can't recognize any backup disc even original copy and it can't get to sony logo.
the model of mine is KSM-440ACM and I thought If these screws get back to their original position It would work as it used to be.
So I have googled with that model number and I found below link which shows bottom side of KSM-440ACM lens pickup.
But It seems this picture has somewhat different cross screws position comparing to my pickup.
I need at least one more KSM-440ACM High-resolution picture of bottom side for adjusting 3 cross screws of my lens pickup close to their factory position.
I'm so sorry for my corrupt English and Anyone PLease attach picture at bottom of KSM-440ACM lens pickup if you have perfect work one.
Thanks in advance.

there are only a very few peeps here who might be able to help you with this specific type of laser unit but who knows.
anyway, you could buy a new laser assembly for $16 with free shipping, http://store.richspsxparts.com/newkspllaas.html
if you order a ps1 laser assembly @ ebay it will take about 3-4 weeks for delivery since most sellers ship straight from china and not to mention u.s. customs inspections.
PS1/SCPH-7501 | MM3 modchip
PS2 v9 | 250GB hdd | PS3 component cable | katana 32mb mc
PS3/CECH-2001B | 250GB hdd | 3.65 ofw
There are no settings for the pickup-setscrews as all systems/lasers have different settings from the manufacture and have to be custom set..
All you can do is play with it and hope you will hit the "sweet spot"..
Other then that it would be a wise idea to just by another unit and keep the one at hand for a backup..
Take note thought that there are around 12 different units that where sold with the PSX.. Some with the same model number in fact..
That is the reasoning why the unit with in the pix given is different then yours..
As many PSX's share the same laser (witch is the model number that you had given) however the hardware will be different (even though the hardware is not serial coded)..
Sorry I could not be of more help,
Ya Im Bi-Poler and proud of it
