The title says it all. Do you still use yours, does it still work fine? I've had mine since 1998 (SCPH-7502, got it with Tomb Raider 3 when it came out) that still works great even 10 years on, reads all my games great and hasn't given me any troubles whatsoever. So what about you?

I got my modded SCPH-7501 I use that I've had to replace a few parts on. I still prefer it to play my PS1 games until the better solution comes out

My dear SCPH-7505 is still alive.
Only thing which I replace Was AC connector.

Real PSX/PSOne is IMO much better solution than emulation (even on PSP).

Inspired by this thread, just plugged my very old SCPH-5552 C and played a round of N20. Even found my Xploder ^^

    Only replaced AV cable.
CD rotation sounds only a little bit ungly, thought.
    Slim PS2 SCPH-70004 (v13) w/ FMCB, 3x Sony 8MB, 1x MaxMemory 16MB (Backup card)

I'm not available for FMCB installation service until I can guarantee a processing time of a few days again, sorry.

I have both an SCPH-102 and an SCPH-5552, though I haven't really used them much for a while.

But I plan to keep them around anyway, for playing PS1 games without wearing out the PS2 laser. But I really need to mod them too, to avoid wearing out my original discs. Many of those games are already impossible to find in stores here, new or secondhand, and this trend will continue. (Not to mention the imports of games never released in europe.)

    Best regards: dlanor

@dlanor: why don't you use the swap disk trick which has been well-documented (there's even videos demonstrating it on Youtube)? That's what I use to play all my backups and I've been using it for many years without problems, just get an original PS1 game with a large TOC (Rayman works great because it has CDDA tracks). It takes some pratice at first but you'll be playing all your backups in no time at all.
