Faulty Modchip install. Need help to sort it out.
Faulty Modchip install. Need help to sort it out. –
A few years ago a friend of mine decided to modchip his own PS1. The old version of SCPH-1002. Unfortunate it didn't work after, and besides that he wasn't sure he used the correct diagram when he soldered.
Anyway he cut off the wires and taped them and putted the PS in the wardrobe. And I thought maybe I could fix it. I have opened it and I am currently looking at the underside of the mobo where some wires are left.
I have searched and looked at several diagrams, and there doesn't seem to be one that fits what he has been trying to do. But I found one mysterious wire tho.
Check that pic out, I have painted a green wire there. Do you guys think that might be some kind of rgb fix? Or does that have anything to do with the modchip? All the diagrams I have seen har only wires from mobo to the modchip.
Thanks in advance.
Oh great. Now it doesn't boot at all.
Just a blank screen. But the power is on and the disc is spinning. I have checked all fuses and they are ok. Anyone got any other hints to look for when this happens?
