Not sure. never had a proper cable to do it up. Tried over a year ago to do it over a hacked up printer cable. Couldn't get it to read though.
some decent info relating a bit to what your doing though

If your going to do it make sure you backup before hand I know when I flashed my cdx it left me without the option to change the background images![]()
i cant find this X-flash CD or EZ-Recovery CD that the site mentions for download. Is the CD flashers work to flash the rom even without this comms card?
i found X-Flash and flashed the cart with Ahoy! 0.34. is this the best AR rom or is Caetla 0.35 better? or what is the best AR Rom for a Mini Goldfinger (i think its a 128k rom size) thanks!
as far as i've read, ahoy! 0.34 is about the best you can get on that cart.
Someone mentioned before, that X-Flash can do the job. I've fixed 3 of my carts with X-flash, it's just perfect for the job. No need for comms if you don't have one, just burn X-flash cd with desired roms, and flash...
I've got 2 carts that has eprom that X-flash couldn't recognise, one chinese action replay ripoff and the other is mp3 player cartridge. But, I can recommend this X-flash cd to everyone who's in for fixing badly flashed carts...
