can any one of you gamers help me remember a game?

The only things i can remember about this game is:

It was a plataform game
there was a child and a dog
They were in some sort of jungle
The nemies were shadows
had more than 1 CD
At some point of the game a giant shadow ate me and all was black but the character and hes dog

Thats all i remember, I hope you guys can help me
