If I'm not able to find a pre-modded psone, an alternative would be breaker pro. Has anyone here used it before?

I've read some reviews online and there have been reports being hit and miss with it working properly with some titles. Could this just be a case of burning the discs at a speed too fast? Or maybe certain manufacturers producing poor blank cd's?

Also I found a complaint with breaker pro here: For anyone that uses or has used BREAKER PRO for psx games, please come here - AfterDawn: Forums

Is gameplay lag with certain titles an issue?

Breaker Pro works fine with most games. I have used it myself, and all the games that I have tested worked fine. They played exactly the same as my chipped fat PS2 (V9).

The games that are reported to not function correctly with it are those who use more than one CDDA track (the music in the game won't play then).

These games are reported to not work or not working correctly:

    Asteroids (US CD-R)
    Deep Freeze (JP orig)
    Hyper Crazy Climber (JP orig)
    I.Q. (JP orig)
New Japan Pro Wrestling (JP orig)
    Uno (JP orig)
    Zero Divide 2 (JP orig)

And of course, multidisc games that require you to change disc right in the middle of the game, and won't allow you to boot CD2 without the first one, won't work as well. Metal Gear Solid is one of these games, if I'm not mistaken.

If you wan't 100% compatibility without any form of patching, you're best off with a console that has a stealth modchip installed.
