boot backups on PSX w/o a chip

Hehe, I never had a mod on my psx, and I dont really need one cause I have an SBOX for my ps2, but since you all say that psx is so much easier to solder than ps2, I might do it just for the practice and fun!

mmm and the best part is, it don't really matter if I mess up!

theres a thing called a game enhancer, you can boot backups with it and use codes like a gameshark

What did you flash them with? My pro action is horrible. All it does is boot back up and let you watch in game FMV. The cheat codes NEVER work in it. My psx is now chipped though but I still have my old freind for kicks (and eb only wanted to give me $1 for it)

I got mine off ebay for $5. Buy why? the mod is cheaper. Hell you can get the mod and build the programmer for like $15 max. And make nifty profit off stupid friends.

i had an external chip.for multiple games when it asked me to change disks i put the original(or psxchanger for you that have this one) and press x when it started spinning i change the cd for the backup!nearly nobody knows this one

i had a pro action replay and i had to do the swap with the sping in the right hand corner and u waited for the game to .......

yes you do need the mod. Dont wast your time on the sawp disc for ps1. Spend the money the right way and get yourself a 6 wire stealth chip and solder the 6 wires or get the 8 wire its way better and the new 2003/2004 games will play on it.
