8 wire modchips? –
i have an 8 wire modchip a friend gave me that i used to mod a scph-7501 which seemed to work... and was wondering where i could get diagrams for a scph-1001 or if it'll even work the board for the scph-1001 is a pu-8 if that is much help?
i do have any information with regards to the modchip other then its an 8 wire chip..
ill try to post more info if/when i get it.
Arrrrrrrrr, hate ta burst yer bubble matey...there's a new disc out there called the PSX Utility Driver. It will let ya play Backups and Imports on any PSX or PS1 unit, without installing a mod chip. Tis much easier ta use if'n ya ask me.
i have a psxchange that i will sell ya
one problem with those bootdiscs..
its cheaper to just buy a used psx and mod that one insted then buying a bootdisc..
used psx's are around $15
whats a bootdisc type thing including shipping cost?
Arrrrrrrrr, tis not cheaper if'n yer like me and don't know a soldering iron from a volt meter. har har har....I saw them for sale at consolesource.com, so I did. Also, dependin' on where's ya live ya might find it in a local type game shop by yer house. Otherwise I thinks the PSXchange disc runs fer about 29.99 US retail. Works like a charm on me old PSX too! So it does.
soldering isnt the problem and i already have the modchip.
so itd seem much easier and cheaper to just mod the psx.
Use the onechip.hex file 8 wire mod.
Get it at www.maxking.com ,works with all discs.
