2 disk games on PS2

Anyone have problems playing 2 cd games on the PS2? When it ask you to switch the disk, the 2nd cd won't boot.

Nope and i have two disc and swap discs as well.

Well, I tried to play Metal Gear Solid PSX on a PS2 and couldn't get it to boot the 2nd cd. Anyone else have this problem?

It's on a Magic 3.1 system. I tried 3 systems, no go.

The second disk is not damage in any way?

I don't think so. When I boot 2nd disk alone, it boots fine. It goes to the menu. When it asks to swap the disk 1->2, it goes to a black screen.

Well a while back, there were complaints that this problem was happening with MGS with this multi-disc game on our PSX, but I cannot remember if this issue was due to modified systems; remember that this game have an anti mod-chip protection check, and you will need codes in other to play the game in such system...

Any missing thoughts hardcore gamers?

well, it always asks u to save btween cds...couldn't u just boot the 2nd?
