Problem with CC 2.0 SLE

Hi there!

I've just spent 2 days troubleshooting my soldering on my PS2 (biggy).
Everything seems OK, when I press reset you can see the green flash just for a sec (wich i've read is just as it should be), but the screen is just blank.. When I press reset 6 times the chip shuts down and the ps2 is back to normal..

Can anyone tell me what the problem is?!

Thanks in advance!

Perhaps there was no FW flashed and no BM installed on that Chip.

You should burn the FW disc and install the FW as well as the BM.

I Think thats the problem =)

Press the reset button 3 times while the FW disc is in and it should boot if your install went well.

Okey, but when I do that it says something like "Please put in a Playstation, PLaystation 2 Format Disc" maybe something went wrong when I burned the disc? Or is it something wrong with the soldering..?

Soon as the console is booting up, thats when you press the reset button.

If it displays a "Please put in a Playstation, PLaystation 2 Format Disc", then yes its either a bad burn, media your console dont like reading or a bad install.

i'd lean more on the install as a possible cause, check all solder joints carefully, but if all the joints look ok, then it could just be the disc brand you used , so try another brand.....high quality is best.

Thanks, I'll look in to it!

However according to the green flash on CC chip, everything is allright!
But I'm going to check everything you said and report back later!
