  • XFPS PC Magic Box 2 - Use PS3 Controller on PC

Here is yet another handy piece of hardware for PS3/PC owners. XMC has released another means of controller remapping called the XFPS PC Magic Box 2. This handy gadget tricks your computer into thinking it's a XBox controller thus allowing you to play all PC games which also includes SixAxis tilt functionality.

    To Quote:
The XFPS PC Magic Box 2 allows you to use an Xbox 360TM (wired/wireless) and PS3TM controllers with PC games. Although the Xbox 360TM controller can be used on the PC but due to lack of keys remapping function, gamers may find the gaming controllers quite difficult to use on some PC games. The XFPS PC Magic Box 2 compliments this need. You're now able to remap any key on the keyboard to the game controller, using the right buttons/Trigger to shoot, the right button for punch or kick etc. and many more with the XCM PC Magic Box 2. This device is user friendly and also adds auto fire function. Let’s start to play the PC games in another mode!

    Function and features:

    • Supports both Xbox 360TM (wired/wireless) and PS3TM controllers with PC games. *NOTE: if using with Xbox 360 wireless controller, the Xbox 360TM PC Wireless Gaming Receiver must be required.
    • Supports rumble function.
    • Supports Xbox 360TM wired or wireless headset.
    • Supports PS3™ SixAxis tilt function
    • 8 built-in independent auto fire buttons
    • You are able to re-map the keys on keyboard to the Xbox 360TM or PS3TM controller.
    • PC will recognize PS3TM controller as Xbox 360TM controller, so the PS3TM controller can be able to use on all PC games.

*NOTE: most PC games won't recognize PS3TM controller but XCM PC Magic Box 2 will trick PC into thinking a Xbox 360TM controller is plugged in. Xbox 360TM controller has better compatibility with PC.

Another company trying to sell a hardware version of something already achieved/achievable in software for free. I already do this in Win and OS X with MotioninJoy and ControllerMate.

I find motionjoy also works perfect for me too, especially now that i use a bluetooth dongle in my pc for it. This hardware seems like alot of mess and money for something that is a waste of time; unless of course you are too lazy to do some googling and configuring.

Motioninjoy (free app) + USB cable (free with the ps3) = same functionality

If I have a pc receiver for xbox 360 controller... why do I have to connect it at this instead of (dicrectly) to pc?
      This converter has no sense!!!

As terrible as motionjoy is, it works, and only cost $1 for a bluetooth dongle, so i think i'm going to stick with it

      1) Use a usb cable, mine is 25 foot

Seriously, this is the most useless piece of equipment ever, since motionjoy came out probably a year or more ago.

Edit: also it connects to the xbox360 wireless adapter, which is good because they didn't make it for THAT VERY PURPOSE. Oh wait...you're telling me that's what it's for? So basically this is an overpriced USB hub.

Thanks to you and various other posters, I now don't have to buy any special configurations or controllers. I searched a few months back and wanted to use a console controller on my PC because I can't stand using keyboard and mouse, to no avail. I have just played Skyrim thanks to your suggestion and am a very happy camper right now! Now I can finish Crysis and Crysis Warhead without pulling my hair out! The PC has become enjoyable once again.
