  • X3Max V2GB Launched + Masterkey Announcement

    Earlier today, there were some rumors floating around, on Logic-Sunrise, that X3Max had discovered the PS3 console masterkey. Now, someone named InsideX3 over at PSX-Scene, is supposedly confirming this finding as well. However, it appears InsideX3 is still relying on information from X3Max, so it is not much of a confirmation.
    InsideX3 also confirmed rumors of a 2GB X3Max which we reported on here. However, this is the same hardware as the original X3Max, but now it includes a 2GB microSD card.

    The intent of this post is not to continue the discussion of our 3.5 solution but to announce the launch of the X3Max V2GB. A 2GB MicroSD is now included and some minor alterations have been made to the retail packaging, pictures can be seen below. Our production run was finished last week and the X3Max V2GB is now in transit to all resellers.

    The X3Max V2GB will be offered as a standalone kit with a RRP of $35 USD, or with the X3Switch included for $40.


    To Summarize:
    What is the current ETA of the 3.5 solution?
    When it is done and ready for public use it’ll be immediately released.

    I have an original X3Max, do I have to buy the X3Max V2GB for the 3.5 solution?
    No, the X3Max hardware is identical besides the additional 2GB MicroSD. Once released, the solution will work on both units. We have no intention of dropping support for early adopters.

    I’m interested in purchasing an X3Max V2GB, when will they be ready?
    We finished production late last week and inventory is now in route to resellers. We expect that resellers will be fully stocked for the holiday rush by December 15th.

      Oh pretty convenient timed should I say. New dongle release and pictures of that expensive machinery.

      There are ways of doing things right, and this way. I understand companies are here for the money, but growing by selling cheap stuff embedded in a pretty case doesn't give you the right to milk the cow. At least until they prove the 3.50 hack is real.

      and how do i no this is the machine that makes these dongles that could be any type of
      machine why not show us a video on making the jailbreak device then i can say if this is the
      actual machine oh i understand your gonna take that out 2 weeks later
      and then 2 weeks after that your gonna say you jailbreaked the ps3 without using a dongle

      Honestly what do you guys really know??

      X3Max is a great product and there is nothing that they have promised so far that hasn't come to pass

      If they are saying they have a 3.5 JB then its probably true, the explanation for holding the product back is more than reasonable and i would expect everyone who is considering buying their dongle because of the 3.5 exploit is holding off anyway, who is to say that that the dongle wont work with what ever version of PS3 firmware is available at the time when the exploit is released, it hasn't been released yet so its highly unlikely that Sony would have patched it, we can pretty much assume that as soon as the scene knows how the new exploit works then so will sony, once they know how it works it wont take them long to patch it, so imo the longer the exploit remains a mystery the better.

      Seriously your bagging them out on a forum with little to no credibility to be calling it a fake anyway, wont be too long before all the nay sayers have to go eat some humble pie.....

      I bought my x3max before this 3.50 announcement just because it was a good product and it is. If we ever learned a lesson from team paradox is that you don't announce unless you are ready to release. The scene will backlash on you no matter how credible you are that's just the nature of the beast. Its fake until proven real not the other way around.
