[WIP] Infectus-Dual by Varicela

Its been a busy week for the hardware side of the scene, with the announcement of 3 individual items. This mod by Varicela has been designed most likely with the intent of using them to finally break the dualboot firmware barrier. It is compatible with the infectus chip(and named appropriately), with some added sockets to connect it and specific compatibility and specialization for 256MB NAND PS3s (sorry slim owners).

To explain why it was made I will quote PS3Crunch:

If you've just tuned in recently, the ability to dualboot would mean running Custom FirmWare (CFW) and official FirmWare (OFW) on the same system. This announcement is particularly interesting as the creator Varicela was the first to successfully execute a downgrade on a 3.56+ console. If anyone has a fighting chance at dual booting to work, it would be this developer.

With the recent flood of hardware mods one could imagine it wouldn't be long before someone strikes gold. When this mod is out of WIP (Work In Progress) and ready for release, you'll see it here at PSX-SCENE.

so is this developer also the one that got the leaked files , the ones that put you in and take you out of service mode,lvdiag.self 1&2? or were the files already out there and he just got the dg to work?i wonder how the files got leaked and if the person who leaked them still is working at sony anyone think this will make any easier for someone to make a dualboot without added hardware or a infectus?
does anyone know if this developer was the first one to release lvdiag.self 1&2 ? and if not then where or who did they come from exactly?

This is pretty sweet! I'm so stoked about the dual boot. What with ProgSKEET and the other hack mods I think we are on a fast track to actually OWNING our PS3s. At least the Phat ones. I'm not trying to be an ass but could you at least spell check shit before posting it? Or maybe just re-read your post and look for errors. It happens way too often on this site. "If anyone has a fighting chance at gdual bootingbooting to work, it would be this developer." I mean how do you not notice the same word twice? Thanks for the info

I am thinking to apply dual nand to my system but in near future I hope dual FW will lead 3.66(or latest FW) CFW. So this is not necessary now for users. Wait and see...

SpellChecked this before posting it. And any others errors have now been fixed.

dual booting is awesome because you can always be hacked and play online.
