  • WIP: Dolphin-PS3 (GameCube/Wii) Emulator Coming to PS3

    A port of Dolphin, a Gamecube and Wii emulator, is in the works for the PS3 by shinhalsafar and his team. Typically, we wouldn't report such an early WIP project, as the project has literally just begun. However, other sites are reporting it and shinhalsafar is a friend to PSGroove.com, so we know the project to be legitimate.

    shinhalsafar the original developer of porting fceu (NES emulator) and VBA (Game Boy emulator, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance) continues its momentum in the Ports of Nintendo emulators for our greatest pleasure. In fact he has just created a google code page on his new project, porting dolphin emulator on PS3 and Wii GameCube.

      they should make dolphin compatible with the USB loader format on wii already WBFS or w/e
      it's kinda like the wii version of extracted games on ps3
      that would save me a whole lot of trouble from finding my old backup iso's

      the author hasn't had any time to work on it/has lost interest in the project.

      this would be AWESOME! Hopefully there aren't too many issues for the dev to deal with. Thanks for starting this project! Even if its unsuccessful thanks for trying!

      But Well Gamecube <33 Some Of Those Crash Bandicoot Games For Gamecube and... Spyro The Dragon Games and the Super Smash Bros for it,so that **** would be awesome

      This is great make it work with wbfs format and external hdds then I would use my existing wii hdd to play games also ps move and wii controller support would be nice. As of now Im very happy that this is coming please make it work.

      Yes, an N64 emulator is quite possible. The Wii can do it. And since the PS3 uses 32-bit IBM Broadway PowerPC programming language like the Wii, an N64 emulator could work. But it'll be hard.

      it would be awesome if it would look like wiiflow usb loader on the wii and wiimote support then it would be perfect.
