WinDos Final Released - 3.41 and 3.55 PKGs

Homebrew developer, and PS3Hax member samson, has released the Final version of his WinDOS program for jailbroken PS3 consoles. The author has made a lot of great new additions, including more emulator support, and added games, as well as plenty of other goodies. Other big differences include slimming the project down, and mapping the DPad and Start/Select buttons. Read more for a complete list of the updates.

now slimmed down to 100mb
added xmb menu music
dpad mapped to arrow keys , start=enter, select=backspace

new programs and games all launchable from the start menu..

added games:-

another world
hitchhikers guide to the galaxy
ghouls and ghosts
metal gear
shinobi
and lots more also a few wolf 3d mods

emulators:-

colovision.. some launching problems , run as dos session
Fmsx (msx) (windows and dos versions)
x520I'vetari)
pc64 (com64)

I've set up dos based emus to launch from a run.bat so end user can edit and add game to be run, if you have problems try running from explorer, run, run as dos session.

also added:-

ps3hax theme wallpaper by Kajika
usb support(no hot plugging)
a fake cd rom(folder) to copy file into (ps3 file manager or ftp)
a windows based hex editor

so i think i am about done with it most 3d game lag.. but all 2d and simple 3d work. running slow-Pentium fixed@4000 BUT you can bump the cycles up as much as you want, but sound will suffer.

also i still cant get win32s to work on ps3 , works fine on pc .. go figure.

ok you install pkg and it shows up under games just wondering haven't tried it out yet or does it replace firmware??? kind of a noob

no...its just an emulator like any other emulator. no firmware changing

what is the point of this ??? my old pc can run better than this im really sorry to say that but at least if they focus about making emulator or make patch to run newest games then this is better than making this boring thing just question does it run flash games and java?

this is a huge step in the right direction, even if people think it is "pointless".

I don't think you get the importance of complaining, if it runs to slow and a majority of people SAY IT IS running to slow the dev/someone who can fix it will see this and it'll run BETTER. If it doesn't do it flash (which I highly doubt it ever will) SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS WINDOWS 3.1 CAN COME ALONG AND FIX IT.

also is anyone else jizzing themselves over the idea of 95 running on their PS3?
