More updates on the upcoming JFW from DH since their last video update about The Grid. They have released a couple more videos, one showcasing their Games & Apps Game Boot Screen while booting Castlevania - Lords of Shadow, and then a video showing The Grid, using a plugin to mount dev_flash. This means there will be no need for a backup manager on this FW. You can find the release statements below, in the the same order as above, newest to oldest.

dont know why they would goto all this effort with 3.41 when they could do all that with 3.55

also easier to work with, since it has less shit to bypass than more recente FW's. And since they've inserted the needed keys you can run games that require up to FW 3.56 (and not just from HDD, but from the BRD) there really is no point in doing this from a newer FW

also everything can be added in modules to their base work, new keys for new games? PSN? cobra functions?

if someone finds out what is needed it can be added, no fuss, or at least so they say

i do admit im quite curious about this FW

3.41 is the best to build such an enviroment , 3.56 is limited.... BUT

There is a 3.56 port now and ready to launch october 1º.

What he is talking about is JFW-DH MA>D, not the 3.41 JFW-DH. Apparently that one can even be installed on OFW 3.56 (and before everyone asks for 3.70, it's 3.56 only and nothing higher. Get it?) machines. Gonna have to wait for confirmation for that however :P

EDIT : Also the downside is, the MA>D FW will not have all of the features from the 3.41 JFW-DH. So, don't even think about installing the 3.56 one if you can go down to 3.41, you wouldn't even be able to downgrade.
EDIT 2 : Apparently the 3.56 JFW can only run homebrew and backups without manager (must imply that managers don't work). It's really just a solution for those stuck on 3.56.

EDIT 3 : Nevermind, only installable from 3.55 or with a hardware flasher on 3.56. I got confused by people on their IRC lol. In fact, it looks useless. If you have a hardware flasher you might aswell downgrade to 3.41/3.55. If you're already on 3.55 or lower, you won't want to install such a CFW.

Its a 3.55 version ready for downgraded(by hardware) 3.56 ps3.

No much details by now.

Anyway, for those claiming for a 3.55 version: this is the answer.

So now they are calling homebrew "apps"? I absolutely hate how all software and homebrew is starting to be called "apps" because of phones.

How's that because of phones? App, as you should know, is short for application, and that word was used even with PC before smartphones came out.
