UPDATE: CrashSerious brings us an update to the ONE application. Gamesaves are now working. MFW 3.15 is now supported as well. You can find the latest official statement from CrashSerious below, followed by the original release information.

Tonight, to celebrate the last binary date of the century. We bring you a update to one.

Simply, it updates memory card support and works on the following systems:

3.55 MFW Retail/CEX
3.41 MFW Retail/CEX
3.15 MFW Retail/CEX

3.55 MFW Debug/DEX
3.41 MFW Debug/DEX
3.15 MFW Debug/DEX

(Note: one uses "state of the art" firmware detection to apply patches needed, spoofing simply can not fool it.)

Now not only do memory cards work... but those of you who are on MFW 3.15 can use it too. We told you we didn't believe people should go without features!

Homebrew developer CrashSerious brings us a new application for our jailbroken PS3 consoles today, simply called one. This program allows you to boot any PSX game disc, even those reported not working earlier. Please read the full release information below, as submitted by an author of one, CrashSerious.

We present to you an app that is as simple and to the point as it's name:

one

one boots PSX game disks, *ANY* psx game disk, even a game reported to not work previously: SLUS-01104 NFS: Porsche Unleashed

Requirements to use one are pretty simple, MFW 3.41/3.55 (all variants).

Simply install one, and run it with your PSX cd in the drive the game will start after a few seconds. If you do not have a cd in the drive when you start one, it will exit to XMB.

What doesn't work:
Selecting or loading PS1 VMC's
Loading from HDD, sorry... you gotta have the disk people.

Q: Multiman does this, why do it separately?
A: First, just because we wanted to. Secondly, because not everyone runs Multiman, or (crazy as it sounds) even has a backup manager installed. Third, we don't like people having to choose whether or not to lose functionality.

Q: How do I use this?
A: Install the pkg, insert your PSX cd, run one.

@CrashSerious, sorry for the confusion. What I am concern is that in the update it was stated (or at least that is what I understood) that this new update will contain new ps3 files that may overwrite existing files so the game save will work. So my concern was to learn what files will be replaced when installing this new pkg file so I can make sure I back them up, and if I see an issue in the near future, I can revert back and restore the files in question (if any). I was able to open (finally) the new pkg file and the only thing I saw was just an eboot file. So I am guessing at this point that it doesn't contain any other files that will overwrite in my PS3, am I right?

I use Alcohol 120 to burn the PSX games. When you go to burn the game, there is an option for Playstation discs. I've been using this program for years with no problem. It's a paid program but you can find trial versions of it. Team H has a slightly older fully funcional version of it out in the ether

Actually was wondering if iso is mounted by Cobra USB Manager, then started using ONE whether or not it would bring better compatibility for the games not working with Cobra alone

Ah okay. Burn a PS1 disc to Cobra Manager? Then run that though one? I see.

What? this app doesn't patch anything at all. it uses already exsisting PSone emulation tools in the PS3 to enable playback of psone backups.. (All PS3's support PSone original playback.)

What about multi disc games that need to be swapped? Are they supported by this app? I am decreeing to the type that makes you stay powered on going from disc 1 to disc 2 by simply pressing eject and inserting new disc?

@CrashSerious could you explain why "TWO" isn't possible for the ps2-backwards-compatible PS3s out there?
Just like how "One" defeats PSone copy protection, I'm wondering why the same is not possible for ps2 games (for PS3s that originally support them of course).

Amp2600 dont mean to bug in like this but. I need a favor, its about the wii section. I was wondering can any thing be done to put more section into it other than wii discussion? btw how can I send inbox messages

for all the people having problems in backing up there PSX games i use ImgBurn to back them up and Burn them.. They back up into .bin/.cue format (Best supported format for PSX games) And i burn them at 4x speed onto Memorex CD-R I have tested about 12 games and all have worked fine. ps.. Thanks for the program, It's really nice and now that Save is supported it's VERY much worth it ......waiting on PS2.....

Hello,I´ve tried to run a backup I burned using Alcohol 120 and ONEcomes up with the message: No PSX disk Found. I also have tried to run my backup on multiman. Multiman recognizes the disk in the drive as a PS1 disk but when I click on it to play, it goes to a black screen and freezes. I´ve tried other burning programs with the same results. My question is if this could be related to the fact that I´m using Hermes 4vb with Rockbox in an ipod to start my PS3 instead of using a CFW or this has to do with bad burns?

Can't help you with Hermes and Rockbox from iPod, but I use Alcohol 120 to burn my psx games with no problem. When you burned the disc, did you select the playstation profile and set your burn speed to 8X?

Yes, i did select the playstation profile and selected the slowest speed available which was 4x.

A lot of the newer cd/dvd burners do not support 4X burn speeds. Try setting it to 8X and try again. Thank god CD-Rs are cheap

Yes I also want to know if it's possible to run multi disks because I really would like to play Final Fantasy 8 and it has 4 disks

I don't see why not. Disc swapping was handled by the games themselves, not the PSX hardware.
