UPDATE: CrashSerious brings us an update to the ONE application. Gamesaves are now working. MFW 3.15 is now supported as well. You can find the latest official statement from CrashSerious below, followed by the original release information.

Tonight, to celebrate the last binary date of the century. We bring you a update to one.

Simply, it updates memory card support and works on the following systems:

3.55 MFW Retail/CEX
3.41 MFW Retail/CEX
3.15 MFW Retail/CEX

3.55 MFW Debug/DEX
3.41 MFW Debug/DEX
3.15 MFW Debug/DEX

(Note: one uses "state of the art" firmware detection to apply patches needed, spoofing simply can not fool it.)

Now not only do memory cards work... but those of you who are on MFW 3.15 can use it too. We told you we didn't believe people should go without features!

Homebrew developer CrashSerious brings us a new application for our jailbroken PS3 consoles today, simply called one. This program allows you to boot any PSX game disc, even those reported not working earlier. Please read the full release information below, as submitted by an author of one, CrashSerious.

We present to you an app that is as simple and to the point as it's name:

one

one boots PSX game disks, *ANY* psx game disk, even a game reported to not work previously: SLUS-01104 NFS: Porsche Unleashed

Requirements to use one are pretty simple, MFW 3.41/3.55 (all variants).

Simply install one, and run it with your PSX cd in the drive the game will start after a few seconds. If you do not have a cd in the drive when you start one, it will exit to XMB.

What doesn't work:
Selecting or loading PS1 VMC's
Loading from HDD, sorry... you gotta have the disk people.

Q/A, FAQ, aka Before you ask, look ---\/

Q: Multiman does this, why do it separately?
A: First, just because we wanted to. Secondly, because not everyone runs Multiman, or (crazy as it sounds) even has a backup manager installed. Third, we don't like people having to choose whether or not to lose functionality.

Q: How do I use this?
A: Install the pkg, insert your PSX cd, run one.

Q: How do I install a pkg?
A: Let me google that for you

It should work with all CFW/MFW 3.41 and 3.55, so yes, it should work with 3.55 Kmeaw.

it works as multiMAN works as stated in the article, every PS3 CFW/OFW plays original PS1 games

Yes, that seems to be the case, no HDD, only discs.

Now, for the burned discs, it would be nice to know for sure, as only original game discs have been confirmed it would seem. But, if no one has an affirmative answer for us by tomorrow, I will test it out and report back the results.

Would be having alot higher compatibility rate than the original Multiman method afaik.

OFW+dongle equals MFW, so yes, it should work.

Only if proper burned, like those also working on real PSX/PSones with modchip or swapdisc (but no need for swapdisc on the ps3)

It also works with original discs ofcourse Harddrive is another thing - for that is alot more needed (compare it if you will with the needed changes to make NTFS work readwriteable for external devices -> need for a wrapper/mounter and method to select the game - which is more a job for a manager than the target 'one' seems to have)

Yeah, you would be amazed what people sometimes ask... (in case someone doesnt know, put it root of USB and goto Install Packages on the PS3: install PKG ps3 - YouTube)

Too all the people who ask themselves: will this work on X firmware, Y disk or Z game: well, try it out! That is where it is released for afterall

what it does:
it works with psx backups.... tested quite a few from a old wallet full I had
it plays full FPS.. no video or sound issues at all, smoothing is proper
it plays every game I have tested

what it dont do yet:
- there is no memory card support
- the fullscreen appears to be outputing in 16:10 instead of 16:9 on HDTV's
- no analog stick support, just d-pad

these were my results using CFW WUTANGRZA/GEOHOT 3.55 PS3 Slim - 500GB 7200RPM

it looks very promising, and thank the team who put this one together!

there is no memory card support

Goto PS3 XMB and create a memory card (VMC).

Normally they are located at /dev_hdd0/savedata/vmc

I would have to try if that also is the case with 'one'

Yeh, I too assumed that because multiMAN didn't support OFW 3.41+dongle, this one wouldn't.

Anyone want to try though? Might help those still on the dongle.

waste of time program... If you can't save a game whats the point... And the fact that multiMAN "CAN" save just makes it even that much worse. I'll stick with multiMAN till this program gets Fixed.

You need an log file of an debug unit or station....than you can see which offset are need to mount VMC data...ask on IRC.....greetings ScHeVeNsthis is living....

I'll wait for memory card support, because it seems like this could finally fix my issues with Spyro 3. I have the PSN Spyro 3 on my legit console, but I ran into the missing eggs bug. Greatest Hits edition (which I have burned) would fix this bug, but not until memory cards are supported. My burn doesn't load with MultiMAN. I'll at least lest the loading out later, but I'm really looking forward to the advancement of this.

kmeaw 3.55 cfw ONE v0.1 Silent Hill , Memorex cd-r 4x burn Crashes to black screen, will this be working only with certain console models? or only original psx cds?
