  • UPDATE: multiMAN v2.04.00 - Now More User Friendly

We told you DeanK was back from vacation and working on developing his multiMAN project. We also reported him updating v2.04.00 to include support for Wallpapers and Dev_Flash. Well, besides making his latest update include expanded XMMB support including switching display modes via the "SIDE menu", DeanK has made the mutlifunction tool easier to use by not allowing game updates of a higher firmware thanks to multiMAN's built-in detection.

    Another change:

    * All switchable changes for the options in the XMMB Settings column are now selectable via the SIDE menu (much like in the regular XMB mode)

Full list of changes from 02.04.00:

    * Added: SIDE menu in XMMB mode to access various functions (access the menu with [TRIANGLE])
    * Added: SIDE menu option for XMMB Settings column to switch between ADVANCED and STANDARD settings
    * Added: Option in XMMB Settings column: [Write access to /dev_flash via /dev_blind]
    * Added: Permissions check upon loading a title
    * Added: VP6 file extension to recognizable video formats
    * Changed: UPDATE function in GAME SETTINGS menu will not download updates for higher than your current PS3 firmware version
    * Changed: All options in the XMMB Settings column are now selectable via the SIDE menu (much like in the regular XMB mode)

Im all for updates But an update every time its pushed off the frontpage really?? Look Dean, why not just save a whole bunch of fixes & release them in one lot, changing the colour of text or adding one option isnt really an update (like in some previous versions)

Wow...I am amazed that people can say ANYTHING negative about multiman, this is by far the BEST app on the PS3, if DeanK wants update the letters from multiman to Multiman and call it an update

It already do, since a while too. o_O

You need to install the bdemu2 payload for whatever cfw you use (3.41 or 3.55) and in multiMAN setings you have to change BD-ROM Emulator to Hermes and Cache Partition to Enable. That way you only need to install the splitted file in the PS3's internal HDD and run the game from External HDD.

Obviously, if you haven't updated multiMAN in ages you might have to do that as well...

lol, this reminds me of the old joke "Doctor Doctor it hurts when I poke myself in the eye and the doctor replies well stop poking it then"

Simple solution just wait the amount of time YOU feel is a good time to wait between updates then update.

I don't even use it, tried using it after the update to 2.0 & nothing worked, & then you have to fiddle with the pkg files for this that & everything else, switched back to Gaia Manager & flawless, no issues what so ever

I really dont understand you guys.

MultiMan is the most complete backup manager out there there isnt much one can do to make it better and still Deans keeps perfecting it and finding new stuff to add and make it simpler to use and there's alway those who gotta make up something to bad-mouth it. You should be greatful he dedicates so much time to perfect it, v2.04.00 came out a few days, this update is just new functions/options added its not a new version, its an update to his last version, its not Dean's fault someone decided that the update is front page material, he makes the updates available online and on his own threads only.

If you dont want to update your multiMan every time he does it just wait and download the next official version when he releases it, all updates will be available then, if you dont even use multiMan than what do you care if he keeps updates it every week or every day or every single hour?? All you have to do is decide to press a button or download a pkg and update it and you still gotta complain you have to do it too many times?? C'mon show some love or at least some respect for all is hard work, he has a life, he's not obligated to do anything to help us and still here he is always available and untirable; when he took some time for himself the last few weeks all people could do was complain about his absence and when he returns with new updates here are people complaining again, you guys are never satisfied.
