[UPDATE] JB-King Responds to True Blue's Threats - Internal PS3 HDD Wipe Real

UPDATE: JB-King has made another announcement on their website regarding True Blue's warning of wiped internal PS3 HDDs. They are warning their customers to stay away from the latest EBOOT patches until they release the new update for their dongle. They have also put together a list of what EBOOTs patches NOT to use while you are waiting for the next update.

Statement for latest TB eboot format HDD problem!

1.JB-king Team apologize sincerely to our little part JB-king users, whose HDD was erased by playing games below:

2. Our Team will release new upgrade firmware next week, to solve the Erasing HDD problem when playing new games. Expecting to notice JB-king official website

3. Kindly advise JB-king users delay to play below games before we release new upgrade firmware.

4. In order to avoid similar inccident happenning again, JB-King office will better supply JB-King users with game Eboot download space, and welcome to download game Eboots from it.

5. We strongly despise that TB takes the ps3 players as a tool to maintain his windfall profits. We never be afraid of competition, as which is for better servicing our customers but not hurt whose benefits.

Warning:
Some of good resellers noticed us kindly that,the latest 7 eboots TB released recently, will format PS3 console HDD and other unknown risks. These eboots include vicious virus code, will hurt both JB-King users' and TB users' PS3 HDD. For these virus code can not identfy JB-King and TB exactly. Our upgrade for soloving this format problem will be released in days. And invoid to lose your game documents, we advise all TB user dont play those 7 game eboots.

The war of the dongles has just taken another step, as JB-King team has made an official response to team True Blue's recent warning to clone users. About half a month ago, JB-King had released a v2.5 compatible firmware, that worked with TB CFW v2 and the latest TB EBOOT patches. Well True Blue recently announced that users of the device may experience unwanted results, such as the reformatting of the internal PS3 HDD.

Just how true this is has yet to be seen, but there have been report(s) of user(s) experiencing this problem when using the JB-King on the TB CFW v2. Here is what JB-King has to say about this whole situation.

JB-King can support all coming upgrade!!!

1、JB-King would not be blocked unless TB´s going to block TB regular users´ upgrading.

2、JB-King users do not have to worry about the coming TB upgrade, we will crack it soon and make jb-king compatible with upgrate package, even the new TB CFW. As we have successfully made it compatible with V2.3, V2.4 and V2.5, it is inevitably we´re in the condition to make a further cracking of new ungrading package.

3、We strongly condemn TB´s behaviour of spiteful competition, who threatens to turn the comsumers´ console to brick so as to acheive its goal of monopolizing ps3 break market. Certainly which would greatly impair comsumers´ benefits. However, similar behaviour would never be from us as we always insist on the tenet of "customer first´.

4、As jb-king dongle comes from jb-king team´s self-designed hardware progrom, there is no doubt that we can regenerate under any condition.

5、If TB sets up malicious code to JB-King, TB users can not be excluded. As TB can not completely distinguish the differences between TB and JB-King, that´s also the reason for why they could not block JB-King in V2.4 upgrate package.

yeah but did u ever use any other dongle/firmware ? i doubt it....so yeah of course ur not affected....unless they really can't tell the difference which im sure it can.

what i wanna know is....can anyone truely say the hd wipe is real ?

i mean there has to be some authentic reports of hds getting deleted...that someone on here can confirm ??

also whats the prereq for all this stuff happening ?

is it being on jbking cfw an using tb eboots or something ? seems like it..

i mean if u flash tb cfw and use a tb dongle then nothing would happen ?

You can always buy a used ps3, they are very cheap, and rent the "new games". Skip all this sh1t.

Not that I particularly care of any consequences for my actions especially on this site but I do hear ya and generally I rarely waste my time ranting and just bite my tongue but after months of occasionally checking in and the only progress is lame ass teams who are introducing malicious code to destroy data, possibly hardware, who knows but what really gets me is this new generation of kids that infest the ps3 scene that think they are using worthy tactics and generally just riding TB's ****, especially goku1992 that kid rides them hard. I'm just hoping its....shit forget what they call it, *blank* syndrome but basically its you've invested your money on said product and then defend your purchase to the death cause no one wants to bad mouth their investment. Now I don't blame anyone who has purchased TB because currently since the dongle is DRM to contain the secret to run newer games its the only method to play said newer games. Personally all the ps3 has that interests me is exclusives since I can run all the other titles via a jtag x360 or boot them via a flashed ixtreme lt x360 for multiplayer but since the ps3 has had little exclusives that have peaked my interest past 3.55 except for uncharted 3 that got cracked for 3.55 thank god, altho twisted metal did also peak my interest but since its really only good for mp I would need to buy retail anyways to play it on my stock ps3 slim. With that said currently there's no way in hell I'd stick that dongle and all the unknown malicious code they got on it into my console even if ya gave me one free but on the other hand if ps3 did get a wack of exclusives that interested me and the TB team wasn't douche bags including malicious code on the dongles I may have weighed the decision more and possibly taken the chance and caved but I would much rather when clone sales start dwindling to release the code and crush TB for their unethical practices, shit even if the set a donation mark for the release I'd gladly donate the price of a TB dongle cause at least then the code is out there and malicious code won't be a worry along with not needing the use of a dongle as a plus. Anywho excuse my rants, I rarely post but between the TB team and their unethical practices and all these 90's+ generation who praise these asshats, it makes me want to vent and tell these kids comon its one thing to purchase TB because its the only method atm to play current titles, which I can understand and it's their money and risk to take, but its a whole other thing to ride their **** and condone their actions, compiling unknown malicious code to effect end users is just wrong wrong wrong. Hope karma gets them all.

well now it seems jbking is better than TB....since they have the new update that will prevent any horrible things from happening.

can u use the update on TB usb ? would seem safer to use that over tb 2.5 update...

nothing's been proven one way or the other until the new eboot patches come out. It's been a while since any have been released which means an updated TB(real) firmware. Until these clones can do everything 100% on their own including patching games then they are still a pale shadow of the real deal in my eyes. Buyer beware

In sold to JB King. I was thinking in purchasing tb but after their threatening warning no way ill buy. Half prize for the same thing and no gun on the costumer's face. Buying jbking is my own way to raise the middle finger towards tb team

Actually, you're wrong. There has not been another ban wave in the past few years. There have been bans (if you make your backups incorrectly, you will be banned. Simple), but not a new ban wave (you can confirm this with c4e if you like). There have also been ban waves which were negated afterwards due to MS' software being unable to determine which consoles were running backups (false positives). This happened at least twice after 2009, when we first learned of AP25.

Also, AP25 didn't take more than one try to beat - firmware which supported 'truncated' burns was never meant to be an 'official' solution, but rather a workaround for people to get by w/o requiring a new burner.

Also, Call of Duty: World at War and GTAIV were both wave 2 games, iirc. That was well before 2011, which you claim. If you and your friends were banned, it's because you used improper firmware and/or improperly made backups. If you need more info, you should come on efnet.
