Update - Unofficial PS_Unban v0.2.1 Released

Update 01/20/2013 - This version no longer works. Check here for new release. After the release of PS_Unban, by developer 0x00, comes an unofficial update by deneo24 at the NGU forums. This updated version is using a new consoleID to get you back on PSN/SEN. This is not compatible with custom firmware 4.31, however I do hear that TeamSGK has one for their CFW 4.31. Although this news is rather late, I thought it might prove useful to those wanting to give it a try.

About PS_Unban v0.2.1:

Hello, I'm giving out a fixed version of PS_Unban I made for you guys. I decided to give it out because when the more people are using the same Console ID the better, because there is less chance of your account being banned since they only take one account with it when they ban the ID. Have fun with it while it lasts!

For some, the app zooms in heaps and you cannot see the full writing, so here are the controls:

Press X If you're on 4.21
Press START if you're on 3.55
Press QUARE If you're on 4.30

When this one gets banned, don't loose hope! I have more. Do not use homebrew whilst signed in. Full Credits to Nullbyte (0x00) For making the homebrew app. I'd just like to emphasize that this would not have been possible without Nullbyte.

I have tried all of these so far an none seem to work on my system. I know that it says not working on 4.31 cfw but im on rogero spoofed with 4.31. if i can get a turorial on what is necessary to get this working that would be so great.

@damiendada Unfortunately I have not tested any of the releases since I have no desire for PSN/SEN. Lets hope that other members here can reach out and provide the help you require.

Confirm working on my system. @Damiendad it was suggested that you have the previous UN-official build installed then install. It does not give a confirmation to overwrite. Hope this helps

Even though I have no interest whatsoever in PSN, it's simply by principal, to show them they're not in control anymore.

@damiendada Download and Install 0x00's 4.30 Ps_Unban v0.2 (google or ps3news) then the new update. This worked for me when I tried before work today. I am using Rogero 4.30 2.05 atm. Cheers

Works on 4.30

Tried making a new account and received the message that I already have reached the maximum of accounts for my system. But of course that's not true

Things to note:

64 accounts is a lifetime maximum number associated with the system.
Any attempt to create accounts beyond 64 will result in an error message.
Terminating, deactivating, banning, or suspending accounts will not result in the ability to create more accounts beyond 64.
Deleting local accounts on the PS3 will also not allow for more account creation beyond 64.
If you have reached 64 accounts on a single PlayStation 3 system, you must create new accounts on a different PS3 system in order to create additional (new) Sony Entertainment Network accounts.

Something to negate this reading could be nice. I'm sure it's because my system is banned though. But the last line seems like a way to go. I'll see if I can test it and report my findings

just thinking out loud. we shouldnt have named this PS unban, should of gave it a werid name like MemPatcherP or something then it would have took sony maybe a little longer to realize what it was for hah

Ive tried a couple times and doesnt seem to want to work for me.

I'm on Rogero CEX 4.30 v2.0 (Ignore where system setting says 4.31. Remember what you installed?)
1. Go to PSN website on PC and create new PSN account.
2. Create new user in XMB under far left menu.
3. Download and Install "0x00's 4.30 Ps_Unban v0.2". (Yes, googling that phrase in quotes will bring you to the file).
4. Download and Install 4.3 package in this post. (I did not have the need for the black screen fix)
5. Go to far right menu and click sign-up.
6. Once on PSN select second option to enter credentials you just created.
7. exit out of PSN.
8. PROFIT!

As a side note, I had previously been using Netflix on CFW Rog 4.30 v2.05 and this is where I first noticed that it said my and and console were banned.
I used Netflix to test the new credentials before firing up BO2. When Netflix worked, I knew all was good and fired up BO2. Multiplayer all day.

I could be mistaken, but it appear that I was banned after I selected the option to auto-sign in PSN credentials when Netflix loads up.
I noticed that this setting not only affected Netflix, but actually appeared to be global.

For now, I recommend to avoid auto sign in. I don't think the remember your password option is an issue.
Again, not a PS3 dev, but seems to be a sound observation.

Tried that and it doesnt seem to work for me.

Installed 0x00's 4.30 Ps_Unban v0.2 (UP0001-NOBAN0000_00-0000000000000000.pkg) "PS_Unban v0.2 for 4.30 CFW" found at p s 3 n e w s

Then installed "PS_Unban CFW 4.21/4.30 (Only If Your PS3 Blackscreens)" (UP0001-NOBAN0000_00-0000000000000000-4xxBlackScreen.pkg) overtop
ran that app and selected []
Tried the one that wasnt blackscreen first, and it made my ps3 flicker, then went into recovery mode or somthing.

Ive also tried installing the first one, running, hitting [] then installing the second overtop, running hit []. that made no difference.
Tried installing first one, running, [], then delete app, install second, running, [] , then delete app

Not sure man. I never removed the PS_Unban package after install.

I have run into another strange issue. After my last post, I stopped playing my PS3 for a while. I just turned it on again and got the ban message.
RE-ran the Unban package (Pressing [], since on Rogero 4.30) and started up BO2 and back on Multi player.

It seems even though the message is generic in the sense it mentions PSN account and Console ban, it is only actually a console ban that the package is fixing.
Making me really curious to see what is really going on under the hood.

Gonna try to login to my old account that is still on the PS3 to see if I can get that to work. Would be nice to have all my stuff back.
Will update with results.

Was the first file I got from p s 3 n e w s the right one, Or should I be looking somewhere else? Also, that first file did you just install it, or did you run it too? (before installing the second, newer file)

Guy's if you want to lessen your chances of getting banned, DO NOT play BO2 online there might be a security sig embedded in the game which sony can detect , this has been flagged by numerous members in the past. Also use M.M stealth ,again although it does not guarantee you will not get banned , it helps
