Uncharted 3 Fix Update - Journal Fully Working

PS3Hax member,atmosfear, has released an updated fix for Uncharted 3. You will remember a recent report of the game running on custom firmware 3.55, however using the journal would freeze the game. This has been rectified as well as some cut scene issues.

I’ve created a new fix for Uncharted 3, which does not require unpacking your psarc files and fixes the journal and cutscene hang issues. This is based on the other full fix floating around, but only patches really required files. Also the fix will work on both windows and unix. I’ve done some testing on Windows 7 x64 and Mac OS X Lion.

This is a proper fix to allow playing of Uncharted 3 [BCES01175]
on CFW 3.55 (3.41 untested).
This fixed the crash when entering the journal and hangups in
level 9 and 11.
To apply the fix, simply drop your BCES01175 folder (or whatever
your Uncharted 3 folder is named) onto the uc3_fix_windows.bat
script, which should open a console window to show progress.
Linux/Mac OS X/other unix users, please use uc3_fix_unix.command
script instead and give the path to BCES01175 folder as the first
argument. Also be sure to have xdelta3 installed first.
If you like the game, please support the developers and buy it!

You don’t need to rejoin your pak23.psarc, if it is split, ’cause the patch doesn’t touch it.

Please provide some feedback, if the patch works for you.

NOTE: The windows fix has problems, if the game folder contains spaces or special characters, so if you folder is e.g. named “_BCES01175-[Uncharted 3 - Drake's Deception]” rename it to “_BCES01175″ before running the script. Alternatively copy the fix into the game directory, open a command prompt, cd into the directory and run “uc3_fix_windows .” (without the quotes)

For anyone having a problem getting the .bat file to work check this out. NOTE: The windows fix has problems, if the game folder contains spaces or special characters, so if you folder is e.g. named “_BCES01175-[Uncharted 3 - Drake's Deception]” rename it to “_BCES01175″ before running the script. Alternatively copy the fix into the game directory, open a command prompt, cd into the directory and run “uc3_fix_windows .”

is there a fix for the BLUS copy of the game? or does this fix work on both?

I used this fix on OS X. It worked until chapter 4 where it freezes in the same place every time.

HELP!Ok this is the fix I've been waiting for, it seems so simple but I got an error. I have the game backed up on my external hd and plugged into my computer. I renamed the file to just _BCUS98233 and dropped it into the uc3_fix_windows. when I do that it checks a few files then says "ERROR: Something went wrong, see output above for details." The line right above that one says "xdelta3: target window checksum mismatch: XD3_INVALID_INPUT." Any ideas whats wrong? I am on kmeaw 3.55, have the game on external hd, and it is a BCU version of the game. Any help would be great!

Read this carefully:

This is a proper fix to allow playing of Uncharted 3 [BCES01175]

You are trying to patch BCUS98233 which was not the version this patch was designed for as i understand it.

I have the same problem, it frezzes when i go down in the tunnel right after the room where you find the map i the ships figurehead.
Does anybody have save file just beyond that point?

You say to throw it into PS3_GAME, but there is a folder called "main" in the directory of my game that isn't in the 7zip you linked. Do I have to throw it into PS3_GAME or Main?

EDIT: NVM, I just added the folder "main" to your zip and it seems to be working.

Can someone upload a save file just after the ch.11 chase scene? The game freezes at the end of the chase, I can't get past that part. Thanks.

do i need to run the edited eboot along with this patch? its asking me to update to 3.72 or do i need to find a spoofer to make it run?

btw anyone having an issue running the patch try moving the game files to the root of your c: and then trying it mine wouldnt patch without moving it there first in windows.
