[UMS] Universal Media Server v1.1.1 - SubJunk's PMS Rebuild Rebuilt

Previously, we reported that SubJunk had left PS3 Media Server to peruse his other projects. Well, he is back with a new team including SharkHunter, and a new tool; UMS aka Universal Media Server, with plenty of plugins included. Already at version 1.1.1, I have included all of the previous changlogs to show you what has been put into this streaming tool.

About UMS:

Universal Media Server is a DLNA-compliant UPnP Media Server.
It is based on PS3 Media Server by shagrath. It is actually an evolution of the "SubJunk Build" of PS3MS.
UMS was started by SubJunk, an official developer of PS3MS, in order to ensure greater stability and file-compatibility.
Because it is written in Java, Universal Media Server supports all major operating systems, with versions for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.
The program streams or transcodes many different media formats with little or no configuration.
It is powered by MEncoder, FFmpeg, tsMuxeR and AviSynth, which combine to offer support for a wide range of media formats.

Existing Windows users can download it automatically on the General Configuration tab in UMS.

Ah man, I can not tell you how many times I have made that mistake reporting on this (and PS3 MS) stories.

Just tried it, still slow as PMS, dont see much changes. Still feels incomplete

Still think Serviio Media Centre is tonnes better than this.

It was slow on mines too, so I figured Id get a new router and just see! geuss what? Im streaming hella fast now on a new router.. yup It dosnt matter if I stream from windows media player, serviio, PS3MS, or this other copy! of the same thing!!

Serious ppl need to change it up!! is it just me?? wtf!
