True Blue's Warning to Clone Users - Internal HDD Will be Erased!

The TrueBlue team has no right to erase your hard drive. I understand the need to protect your product, but this is ridiculous. A simple thing like not allowing the fixed eboots to run. Causing hardware or software damage is illegal in some places.

Look at Nintendo with the 3DS, they put a warning on the box saying that if you use any unauthorized device, like a flash cart, your 3DS will be bricked. I haven't heard of that happening to anyone.

Not everyone who uses a TrueBlue dongle is a pirate. I don't have one yet, but I am really tempted to get one as I have purchased games that require 3.60+ that I can't play. Anyone who doesn't believe me, I will gladly upload my GameStop receipts to prove I am not a pirate.

I have been a defender of True Blue , until this ISH! I wish they would just stick to releasing eboots instead of wasting time.
Who really knows if their dongle is a real TB, can we really trust the companies that sold True Blue dongles?

Lets just say that 3DS did brick a handheld because someone had an R4 it would still be the users fault. And it isn't about who pirates or doesn't pirate at the end of the day it's all about playing games.

TB haves a right because for the people who bought their dongle knew the risks. Once again their is an OPTION not to update the TB dongle or you can and it is really that simple. Trust TB they are very talented developers they wont let you down. Have they ever let us down?

This is how I look at it. These other clones have never offered anything the original TB did not, and at times they offered less due to TB's changing security measures. It makes since that it would continue this way, but some people are saying that they are taking it too far.

This is just one of the random effects that can happen when you use a clone on the (soon to be released TB FW v3?) system, others have yet to be announced which could be less or more drastic.

I think this should really only concern the cloners, as they are the ones who are doing the testing to see if they can get the latest EBOOT patches working before they release a fix to their paying customer, customers who are buying an imitation/knock-off.

As I stated in my article, right now this is all speculation, but the real question here is why are they going to such lengths to prevent people from tampering with there device? Are there secrets finally close to being unlocked? Are the cloners on to something?

And by the way, the cloners are no help to the problem of reversing the TB and PARADOX patch method. If anything, they are just creating a larger gap. I could be wrong about this, but that is my opinion.

The bottom line is: If you are a TB supporter, you have nothing to worry about. If you purchased a clone, you get what you paid for.

This is just a measure to get the clones from counterfeiting on their true work.
We don't know what they do to provide us with these more recent games, but it has to be something for them to put out such extreme measures.
I'm more than glad i bought TB. I'm just as happy that I got a USB cobra. if something happens, then ehh it's probably my fault.
I understand the risks, but i bought TB. i bought a second ps3 just strictly for legit things and psn if anything happens like that even to legit buyers like myself.
It's a privilege I say to have something like this even still available, so I, for one, welcome and support our eboot overlords.

If people put as much energy into making clones to get paid, why not just reverse engineer the TB and use a few different parts. I know it would be kinda patent infringement-ish, but its better than screwing over the end user that is just trying to game.

I own a TB. I personally think all the energy should have been put towards getting a better FW that we all could use. But I knew that wasn't going to happen. Unfourtunitly greed will come hand in hand when people figure out exploits. It's sad.

Thank god for all the devs out there trying there damnedest and basically ask nothing in return. They are the people that really help keep the scene alive.

But I digress, I think TB should work on their end supporting the hardware they put out by helping 'fixing' some EBOOT's.. and their web page... seriously? Google links?

The only people running unsigned code on a 360 are people with either a devkit, or a jtag/rgh system. The vast majority of 360 mods are dvd firmware hacks, and every bit of MS' authentication process is still adhered to - while we may attack a weak link of the security chain and lie about the type of disc it's on, the chain is still intact, and every challenge must have an appropriate response before the console will boot the game.

Hospitals charge people to save a human life but they are SO MORALLY WRONG for charging someone to save their live.

My fault I thought expressing my opinion on how these dongle "companies" are ****ing the scene over with there bullshit was the topic. So in your opinion what would be considered on topic. Why TB shouldn't be doing this, what effect it will have on my console, or simply black and white my ****ING OPINION. This is why this shit is dead **** bags like TB make bullshit to **** over the scene and here its supported. I am in no way speaking of there latest tactics, but the fact that this dongle exist in the first place. They took what others made free, and cashed in on it. Some might say that is just enterprising while other (such ass my self) call it $ony. Ive been on this scene damn near since it started, and its going from share and care, to cash and slash.
