i got a trublue dongle and i can update it as many times as i want with the 2.5 update, then got a second one that refuses to be updated to 2.5 forgot the error, but it works with the 2.5 tb cfw and some latest games.

i keep on wondering if that secont one is a clone in a trublue casing.

if thats the case some might get skrewed by this end ened up having to pay the price for having a clone wich they thought they bought a original trublue

It's time for devs that know what TB is doing to come out and make it free, once and for all. No clones, just CFW that patches the libs needed to run newer EBOOTs.

The measures are quite harsh, but you have to remember you're dealing with a group of developers who sites like ps3sux ran off and they now have created a product and this product relies on an illegal distribution channel of games via physical media and the Internet. i managed to snag one from modchipcentral last week and it will be here tomorrow via ups. when i ordered it it was on backorder like it is now but they are filling orders as stock comes in.

60 bucks was more than worth it to play street fighter x tekken, ultimate marvel (IT'S MAHVEL BABY!!!) vs. capcom 3, blazblue continuum shift extend, cod modern warfare 3, tekken hybrid, and soul calibur 5. all of which are on my hdd and waiting for the ups man to get here tomorrow. and i get to take a dump all over capcom and play sfxt with the 12 disc locked characters FOR THE WIN!!! i held out as long as i could, but it seems nobody wants to step up and figure out how to make these new games work.

Look I understand that you are upset. But this is now TB are the only ones doing things and honestly to play (most of the latest games) you need a TB dongle. No If's/ands/or buts about it. They can choose to charge what they want after all it's their product and software.

On topic means that TB can do this because this like a firmware update just like how Sony shut down VBL. Anyways I am quite happy that they are doing this and yes I meant Brick consoles. Why not. TB made the eboots why leech off of their success make your own eboots.

I got an infraction a while back ago for calling devs (names because they work for free) why aren't people getting infractions for all the trash talking and bashing that they give TB.

It's like Microsoft saying it will brick your PC if you run freeware/open source software. Or even iTunes doing it if you run WinAMP, RealPlayer or MediaPlayer Classic

I do have a question for you. I remember you said you sold your PS3 recently and switched to the 360. So if I understand your recent posts none of this applies to you anyway, so why egg people on by saying you hope they brick their consoles?

I haven't sold it yet :/ but I did order a 360 on ebay that comes in the mail soon so flashed xbox for me But for the time being I am playing my TB ps3 until I sell it

And about TB yes maybe bricking is a tad extreme but here is my opinion

For clones I respect if they can actually make their own eboots and not leech off of the product so this will make them think twice and btw if Microsoft did do that it would make people think twice about running unsigned code on thier system.

If I cant sell my ps3 I will update it to play the PS3 exclusives (Uncharted and etc..etc) I do still own alot of legitimate ps3 games but seeing the same hateful TB posts piss me off because I make 1 remark and I get infracted and some people are saying **** true blue and they are not being touched.

A company can do whatever they want because

1. you signed the EULA so that means if they do decide to brick consoles for people trying to run unsigned code the company will win
2. It is still their product

I am not trying to say that TB is right for doing this but they must still protect their product at all costs. Maybe bricking will teach their competitors a second thought and ACTUALLY learn how to do it themselves.

Nobody has a right to touch that for any reason. It would be one thing if I tried to sign on to PSN and Sony did it because I am running code not signed by them which is against their user agreement. I'd just have to suck that up. But TB has no right to touch my hard drive.

I own the original TB and like Jay-Jay was saying mistakes are made and there could be false positives on their detection system and even tho I do own the original TB dongle it might read as a clone and erase my hard drive.

I'm not saying they shouldn't protect their source of income. There are other ways to do it

TB seems smart and sophisticated if those guys know how to crack games 3.60+ I am pretty confident that they know what they are doing.

But that the end of the day this is the deal that you make to play newer games there will be risks involved.

You cant blame TB you have to blame the clones. Unlike PS Jailbreak TB seems more sophisticated and they know what they are doing pretty brilliant people. If you own an original then don't worry about it. If TB kill switch didn't get you yet neither will their update

But serious measures must be taken into consent.
