  • True Blue Firmware 2.62 - Expect More EBOOT Patches Soon!

    Team True Blue is back today with some major news about the EBOOT patches for their dongle, as well a firmware update for their dongle as well. They have announced that the recent lack of EBOOT patches was actually due to a compatibility issue, one that they have now fixed with this dongle firmware update.


    True Blue dongle firmware v2.62 has been released. Changes include:
    • • Fixed a major game compatibility issue which will allow the release of several popular, previously incompatible titles
      • Improved system stability

    Recently, EBOOT patches have slowed due to a compatibility issue which prevented recent games from running on 3.55 CFW. This issue has been resolved as of this firmware release, thus we strongly recommend that everyone update their True Blue dongles as soon as possible in anticipation of the upcoming batch of releases.

      Prototype 2 DOES WORK from external. The PARAM.SFO only supports 576 and 720. My tv only supports 480 and 1080. The reason it wasn't working for me is because I tried to upscale it to 1080. Setting it at 480 which is the US equivalent of 576 made it work.

      These are LEGIT patches - some of them are just under different names

      No more it seems in this batch, great list this time around though. At least TB were telling the truth about incoming EBOOTs. Hopefully not long till the next batch

      Damn, I really really wanted MLB 12 The Show to be fixed..oh well, cant be TOO Picky..good lineup of eboot fixes..and the fact that they have other groups working on fixes is a good sign

      so am i correct in thinking that this is just an update for the dongle, and that I still need to be on V2 of the TB CFW pup that was released by True blue for this to work correctly, right?

      i know they keep using the word, firmware, interchangably between referring to the dongle firmware and the actual TB cfw firmware so i do wanna make sure so my dongle doesnt self destruct or anything

      Have you had any chance to test prototype diskless??

      Really wanna play this game but can only play diskless, stupid laser dying on me

      looks like a no but I'm not a 100% on discless. I don't make a habit of using it. I took my disc out, loaded the game from multiMAN on external and got a black screen. Keep in mind I edited my PARAM.SFO to fix my display problem

      I know its not a CFW. My question is does this dongle update still work with V2 of the TB CFW (pup file not dongle pkg update) or is their no higher version of TB CFW currently than version 2?

      Current versions are 3.55 TB v2 for your ps3 and 2.62 for your dongle. They just updated the dongle. If your PS3 says v2 in the system settings your good with this update

      Must be on the bottom of the priority list because it hasn't been fixed. It is very annoying to me I like to be able to sit back and press my controller to turn the system on and nothing else. Guess I am being lazy but it is a added inconvenience I do not understand why it isn't fixed. I am guessing because not a lot of people are bringing it up so it hasn't been fixed? I don't know but its annoying.

      anyone know where to buy true blue dongle? I found one site that asked me to pay 60$ for shipping.

      I used ModChipsDirect :: North Americas #1 Mod Chip Reseller!

      They have amazing service, only took 7 days to get to the UK and they cont charge hardly any p & p (cant remember exactly how much)

      To Latvia? or Amsterdam where your ISP (Proxy???) is located? Either way, I'd say to go with http://lightake.com/detail.do/sku.TB..._for_PS3-47850 They offer free shipping, but expect a long shipping process. It took around 30 days for them to ship a couple discs from China to the US

      That's where I got mine too. Shipping is great with them and it's pretty cheap. They ship from the US and Canada. I don't know what their rate would be to ship to where he's at. If it's cheap enough, I highly recommend them

      To Latvia. lightake.com sells legit TB dongles? I have heard that there are many sites that sell fake dongles.
      I tried ModChipsDirect, but when it calculated shipping the site told me to check my shipping address and if everything is correct to contact the ModChipsDirect and so i wrote email about shipping to Latvia, but haven't received answer yet however i doubt that i will ever receive it because i emailed question one week ago.
