True Blue Dongle Update - Play 3.6+ Games from HDD

Here is some news regarding the True Blue dongle that many were hoping for. Today reports came to me regarding the much spoken about dongle and to my surprise the need to burn the "special" Blue Ray discs is no longer needed. You can now run FW3.6+ games from your PS3 hardrive. I have yet to learn if external HDD support will be included but I don't see why not.

After much research and many hard long days at coding, the solid support team behind the 'True Blue' dongle have now been able to encode all the needed booting information which was previously needed on 'special' BD-R discs, to be included in the dongle's firmware memory, so now v3.6+ games will run correctly when also stored on your PS3 HDD.

Now with this latest firmware update the dongle fully supports booting of all v3.6+ 'backups' to from PS3 HDD using existing 'backup managers' which the end-user will choose to install, making 'True Blue' dongle one of the most affordable ways to enjoy both your Jailbreak-able PS3 console and still play latest v3.6+ games on your v3.55 PS3 console.

As some of you have noticed the above game titles list posted earlier by me contains some 'games' which are not pubicaly available yet, but the coders behind 'True Blue' have already confirmed, that these games will work based on certain 'key' information, but remember nothing is 100% but as you already see the developers are listening on the forums and supporting the needs of the end-us that is why I stated earlier there is 'solid support team' behind this product even tho it is 'commercial' it is build for the 'scene' and priced to be affordable and to be updated so fast so early since the first JB2 news broke, it shows that it indeed has strength!

With all these updates, do we still have those who are doubtful about True Blue?

I got the impression that the PS3 was on 3.55 OFW and something on that dongle made the games work..

Either way, I hope that some enterprising bloke on the scene gets a hold of it and make a software only version of it.

I wonder why Silent Hill: Downpour is on the list. That game isnt out before 2012.

their design is similar to Cobra USB, you use their CFW (which acts as OFW when started w/o dongle)

if i understand this correctly, we no longer need a bluray in the drive to launch games, will all games boot discless now?? i may decide to keep my ps3 if it is so

Trolls gunna troll. As of now it is not possible to run. Battlefield 3 only runs because it can be bought off psn. But how in the hell did they get uncharted 3 working?
EDIT: sorry to whoever said portal 2 wasn't working, I had no idea! is there a eboot fix rather than downloading the whole game? Again sorry for calling you out, I remember looking at least once every other week after it came out and just gave up!

From what I've been reading, it will need a special version a 3.55 CFW they provide installed in order to work.

There seems to be some confusion over whether this 'special' CFW from TB will brick your console if you try to change to another FW later or not..

Some clarification on this would be helpful for those considering purchasing this product I think.

lets just hope its cracked and made in software cfw.....or at the very least a cheap 20 dollar knock off version.

i think the reason cobra usb hasn't been really hacked an implemented in our normal cfw is cuz it doesn't let u play new games.....that and not enough "good" devs in the scene.

That would be useless, believe me. This cfw wanna be doesn't alow updates and umvc3 is getting day one rebalanced patch. So even if you manage to run the game with a debug eboot you won't be able to use any patch, and that's for all the games. Enjoy your games without patchs and that means no rebalance, no bug fix and so on.
Any method who can't use games update patchs is just stupid.

with all the trolls and bitching in the scene over the last few months most of the "good" devs said to hell with us. they won't make or reverse engineer squat for us any more. can't say i blame them either. hope everyone is happy now. so just go pay for this dongle, because it's probably the best we will get. and this is not a troll, just the truth.
