  • True Blue Dongle Cloned - JB King

Here is something that comes as no surprise. It seems the True Blue team has some competition with a soon to be released clone of their dongle called JB King. However looking at the feature list suggests that this dongle will, for now I hope, only have older features such as running games from the "special" Blu Ray discs. (Although the flash ad on their website suggests differently and also the HDD icon in the backup manager.) I have contacted them in hopes of getting more information so watch this space for updates.

I'm hoping to get a dongle from them for review. Waiting for response to my email regarding the many questions we will all have. Nice to see that the True Blue is clone-able.

I dont see any point of this, Its just the same product with a different name, and not as good.
This could only be better if they eventually have better features and lower price point.
What we really need is a open source dongle-less clone.
An eventual 4.0 JB/CFW/MFW will probably be better, and free.

no point of selling a crap copy clone.

go with the true blue unless your willing to give up playing from harddrive and instead buying their special bluray discs.

You can play off the USB drives and no need to buy their special discs. New games are being patched almost everyday....

Only good thing going for this is that they never named it after a madonna song. Apart from that, its crap.

It has been confirmed that this is an exact 1:1 clone of the True Blue dongle and will accept the HDD update (from the video you can see that they are on True Blue v2.3 which is for HDD play, also in the video every game that they start is from HDD) Datalife knows what he is talking about & has obviously done a little more research (reading) than you have!

Are people really complaining about a cheaper option for 3.6+ games?

      Of course!

A bit more serious and on topic:
I think it's great. Now we have options + JB2 perhaps/should/*cross-fingers* will drop in price. And for the sake of competition I'd like a third option. And it would be really cool it was red, shiny silver metal casing and limegreen lights!!

Hahah, okay not so serious then - Call me an outlaw.
More on topic again, I'm still more inclined towards buying the JB2 as soon as this Christmas month has passed. I like the looks more (now wtf is that for a reason? I don't have a smartphone, running around with a nokia C1, and I care about a dongle I never look at? Hahaha, someone please shoot me) and the little extra price - I don't care.

Now IF JB-King turned out being 10-15$ cheaper and/or the team behind it seems more competent than TB-JB2 then I'm all up for that.
Until now, I still find it weird that NEITHER of them know who the hell sells their product. Don't they know who their resellers is, or who they ship out to? Hmm..

they seem to be using TB's CFW, dongle updates & EBOOT patches so that could possibly be a no

Could it possibly they were able to copy the TB CFW off the dongle, dumped it on their own dongle???and a few more people were able to do the same thing or it could be TB own people are making their own behind TB's back???

Either TB devs or dirty dealings with the manufacturer (more than likely the second, money talks & BS walks)

As i said before, older games up to 3.56 firmware can be run from hdd.

newer games with 3.56 + needs their special bluray dics.

so unless im reading wrong, then do their research again.

i may be wrong, but read their god damn website
