TN-V4 - Release Date & Added Memory Usage News
Total_Noob has more news regarding his kernal exploit for the PS Vita. In the previous
announcement the developer mentioned "high memory support". But after closer examination to Sony's latest firmware he has now announced that TN-V 4, for firmware 2.60 and above, will not support it. Also mentioned is those who are using firmware below 2.60 will get the added memory usage. As far as the release date is concerned, one will have to wait after the launch of the PlayStation 4. Provided the exploit still exists should Sony release another update.
Its unfortunate however, that with the latest firmware that space that allowed us to use the extra RAM is no longer available. So the summation is that TN-V4 will not be able to support the increased memory for 2.60 and above. However, this feature will be available to those under 2.60 when Total_Noob releases the new version of his CEF TN-V later.
As for an estimated release date on TN-V4 (and possibly a kernel exploit); Total_Noob says that it will most likely be after the launch of the PS4.
