TeaM AC1D: TrueBlue a Scam

TeaM AC1D has announced that they know the secret behind the True Blue dongle and in the process calling the True Blue a scam. They explain that no real code is used but rather files from higher firmware and some of these files are compatible with older firmware, although the ones that don't work need a little fixing. Below is an extract.

Finally, after a long period of a scene that got riddled and raped by money hungry dongle suppliers we uncover this big scam and show you how things like the true blue dongle actually work.

First of all, non of the code used comes from the true blue creators. All files used come directly from higher PS3 firmwares.

All you need to do is place them in the right folder and thats it. Of course this does not work with all the procdure quiet games so easy, some of the 3.6 + games load right away, otheres need some fixing.

They are basically charging you money for a small custom firmware, i would call it the biggest scam the ps3 scene a lot has ever seen and we have seen.

This scam needs to be stopped and we should all join hands to finally put to end to all of this. Use this information and do what you have to do.

Now lets sit back, await a release of the method so we can get our own legally purchased games running on custom firmware.

Are You Kidding, There are ppl that own multiple dongles and flash devices for multiple systems stop thinking in your little PS3 world there's more gaming then PS3, granted it is the best console so far, till the next round comes in.

Most of my devices are USB programmable controllers(maximus,Blackcat,PIC's) and they have multiple uses, Don't comment till you know all the facts.

Too say i own something and think it's a ripoff is only being truthful,I just want the some cooperation in the scene as others,open dialog, THE TRUTH.

So how dumb am i now.

I am not here for awards lol.
Still love my True Blue(its funny since I been playing GTA IV all weekend working on my new mod).
I think Team Acid should go to a desert take a handful of what is in their name (brainstorm) and not report back until they have a new CFW. All of my best ideas have come to me when I am heavily medicated lol. Like the mod ideas I had this weekend.
Perhaps then I would listen to what they are saying, but then again I am always medicated.

First of all, dont make your own comment about what others own and how much the own. I comment on your comment and where referering to you, not others.
Second of all, Yes your comment is one of the stupidest and still somehow funniest comment seen on the scene. People dont own something og things and then call it a rip-off. You own all the devices because they are usefull and you enjoy it. short story = you own because it gives u advanteges.

Now saying that its a rippoff but yet you are planning on getting the cobra while already owning 4 dongles. Come on kid,

a dongle that costs 60 dollars and give u the most important opportunity = playing newer games. not a rippoff.
people like u calling it a rippoff = too F***ing cheap. as simple as that.

The trueblue CFW has sony's code, thats a fact, but they aren't selling the CFW... they'r selling a usb stick thats used like DRM for the CFW, and i dont think there's any of sony's code in the actual dongle.

I'm guessing that the reason why nobody actually figured how to do it without the dongle, its because you need the dongle to acess (decrypt?) the so called "higher firmware files" in the cfw.

So hardly a scam...they're selling a product that actually does what they claim it does, and they were clever enough to protect what they've figured out, unlike the first jb

This thread has been quite entertaining. It funny to see how false information can stir up such heated discussions. I hope everyone realizes that Team AC1D's claims are false and that their theory really doesn't make any sense.

I would agree with you if it wasn't so sad that people get this worked up over some random comment on the internet. Team Ac1d's so-called knowledge of what's going on reminds me too much of the JFW project, Math, the new cfw that's supposed to be out next month that looked like it was just a photoshopped images of deank's multiman, and the list goes on and on. The internet is a marvelous thing. If it had any ring of truth to it, then there would be more info out there by now either from team ac1d or someone who took that info and ran with it. Stop paying attention to the attention seekers and maybe this nonsense will fade into the background and the people that do have the knowledge to actually do something will come forward. If I knew how to do it, then I'd probably be reluctant to release it because of the craziness that follows stuff like this. Everybody take a deep breath. It will be ok. I promise

Knowing what they did isn't necessarily the same as knowing how they did it.

Unfortunately now, there is a story currently flowing on IRC, that this was just a gag/stunt to gain traffic to their site. Man, now I am getting pissed--and I usually never lose my cool. I hope for their sake it's an untrue rumor.

I wouldn't call TB a scam. No matter how much or how little effort it took, TB gave people(pirates or no) what they wanted, a way to play to play 3.6+ games on a backup, albeit for a price. If TB was never made, would TeaM AC1D have found this 'method'?

What you are saying is true regarding how such news can cause so much heat, but the real issue is that it gets to be frontpage. as i said before 99.9 % of all the frontpage topics regarding cfw, is bullshit and an attempt for the so-called 15 minutes or more correct the 15 seconds of fame.

All of these bullshit news shoudnt be posted at all, why? because its bullshit, bullshit and bullshit. dont give them the attention and hype. as simpel as that.

you dont see these bullshit news on the xbox scene. They create new products, opdate their firmware for flashes and etc, without bullshit.
The best part, people dont whine just cause stuff costs.

but here, god forbid if something isnt free.

I know it's not, but that should be enough to stop this foolishness. I don't agree with getting paid for piracy, but I also don't agree with working for free. Personally not gonna buy a TrueBlue but at the end of the day, they have produced results where noone else has. There have been all kinds of claims out there that have amounted to nothing, but these guys have something to show for their claims.

I'm not gonna buy TB-Dildo and not gonna become a fan of TB or Ac1d.
But I have to say that :

TB Team is worked & succeeded, also they did id 1st.
They want to paid for their effort less/more than a 1 game price.
We have to give their credit.
If I was created that dongle, I want to be paid for my effort.

Not your all to be wanted to play your owned backed up games.
Most of you guys (%98 or more) wanna play pirated games for free.
This is your rages source; "because they wanted your money".

(To Ac1d Team) If you know about soo much, why don't you make one for free.
