TeaM AC1D: TrueBlue a Scam

TeaM AC1D has announced that they know the secret behind the True Blue dongle and in the process calling the True Blue a scam. They explain that no real code is used but rather files from higher firmware and some of these files are compatible with older firmware, although the ones that don't work need a little fixing. Below is an extract.

Finally, after a long period of a scene that got riddled and raped by money hungry dongle suppliers we uncover this big scam and show you how things like the true blue dongle actually work.

First of all, non of the code used comes from the true blue creators. All files used come directly from higher PS3 firmwares.

All you need to do is place them in the right folder and thats it. Of course this does not work with all the procdure quiet games so easy, some of the 3.6 + games load right away, otheres need some fixing.

They are basically charging you money for a small custom firmware, i would call it the biggest scam the ps3 scene a lot has ever seen and we have seen.

This scam needs to be stopped and we should all join hands to finally put to end to all of this. Use this information and do what you have to do.

Now lets sit back, await a release of the method so we can get our own legally purchased games running on custom firmware.

I know we`ve got some useful stuff like multiman, ftp server, showtime and some other shit but the rest is USELESS CRAP! And to make this clear that bitch mathiel can shove his cfw up his booty! there is speculation that they do have the keys, dunno just what I heard.

TB may not be a scam so to speak but it is pretty much making loads of money off selling cracks or executables that circumvent copyright protection.. The fact they MAKE everyone pay for something that should just be open scene knowledge is sort of KILLING the PS3 Scene. Do you see people do same on XBOX scene? nope. Legitimate uses for any devices sold for the xbox, non of this, we find you crack you pay nonsense.

As i was said before, nobody is forcing you to buy the damn dongle. Wake up, nothing in this world is for free!!!!!! Stop being so F***ing cheap.

And no, TB dongle isn't killing the scene!!! What is killing the scene, is all these pathethic frontpage bullshit regarding some new exploit for new cfw found, but then again fades away pretty fast because people simply wants the so called 15 minutes or should i say the 15 seconds of fame.

Look at xbox scene. They create all sorts of new products, such as the x3key, new rgh, wasabi, things that make it easier for the xbox owners too enjoy. And guess what, people buy it without complaints and whining because it works!!! end of story.

But here, god forbid if something costs and isn't for free. pathetic.

And to the person who said that all the people who defends the TB dongle is the ones who own it.

I don't care if this is a scam or not, i wanted to play skyrim,rage on my hacked Ps3, this team made that happened... what have you done? instead of talking why don't you release a "small cfw" that plays all the games that true blue does, otherwise just shutup

Creat your own eboot using sdk.
Sign with your own keys.
Create dongle that allows your keys to be run on ps3.
That is how TB works.
Hard to crack but easy to replicate.

they are providing a WORKING way of playing games that nobody else has been able to get working.how is that a scam .? the dongle does exactly what it says it does.until there is a working cfw for the latest firmware thats peoples only choice....but at least they have the choice..........this is just trolling

I have the dongle true blue, all this teams saying that dongle is a scam well i tried all his features and it works (i know iam being sarcasm sony copyrighted files etc dont care)
Now The main reason IT WORKS! it ALLOWS to play newer games! Does anyone else know another way to play them ? maybe a cfw TROLOLOLOLOLOL that will never happen BECAUSE ppl/devolppers cant release things anonymously since they think that sony should allow a ps3 running with a CFW but w8 ? that didint go to well to geo hot it seems that he got sued troloolol WTF? is Wrong with this ppl this is the best console with best drama ever made ALL OF THIS BECAUSE BACKUPS, on Xbox scene no one cares all they want is to play their latest backups and they are able to, why tit doesnt happen on ps3 too should anyone care ? Fear, Fame(eg.Mathielh he cant do shit), True Blue is the best team on scene they dont care about Fame all they want is money and they are worth it and i gladly pay, this team for me is better than kakarotto or anyone else on that list

So much hate. Who the hell is Team Acid anyway(are they closer to GOD?)? Never heard of them til now. Team Acid are on acid if they think they can do any better than TB did. If they wanted to talk smack and be taken seriously then they should've made and released a new CFW making the TB useless.
We have so many choices when it comes to older games and now 70+ w/ TB. I am grateful for all of the choices we have. Choices like Kmeaw 3.55 or TB 3.55. It is your choice.

TEAM AC1D was around at the beginning with some tools then vanished.
And the reason their haven't been any advances is because ppl want the Fame and Recognition for being the best douchbag around.
Just release anonymously, help the scene.. PLS

I own 4 dongles including the true blue and i'm thinking of getting the "cobra" and i think their all rip-offs.

No other scene acts like this and i've been to alot of them, owned alot of systems. It's kind of shows the caliber of user the PS3 has.

HOW MANY OF YOU ARE DIEHARD SONY ONLY FANS, bad mouth other systems and their users.

These are the idiots that keep this scene in the dark-ages. Other scenes the dev's share info and it helps the scene.

Too many ppl are glory hounds.

The article itself is unproducive, as are 99% of the comments on this thread. You should all be proud. If you think it's a scam, don't buy one. That's all. Nobody's forcing you or tricking you into spending money

I am in the same sitch lol! Have many dongles(using TB now other are paper weights) and gonna buy Cobra soon.
What about the 360 modding scene? The only way to do that is to buy ish. Which I am also doing soon(Xbox360Key), but does not end there. Have to buy a device to dump the drive first. That scene costs money, more than ours. Wish there was a free solution for the 360. With all the options one has it is all confusing since there are so many choices(like disc or hdd games and solution for that and what to buy to dump the drive , if the drive can even be dumped at all).
Softmodded Wii scene is cool since it is free and one could go online. The softmodded wii scene also has like 99% of all new releases.
