Can someone confirm that 4.21cfw works on cech-A01 before I flash it. I put this cfw on my friends ps3 model cech-2001b it works well im not going to say good but this brings me back to 3.55 cfw when it first came out there was some bumps in the road but after a few weeks we were good to go

Don't get me wrong - I'm not mad about it. I'm just trying to prevent more bricks until the problem is resolved. People still aren't reading the comments in the Rogero thread so I thought a front page article would be fair warning to anybody that still wants to attempt it

i am glad showtime did not get an update as i would have flashed right away. i wounder how many people bricked and did not follow the directions like turning the QA flag on and making a full nand backup so you could install a hardware flasher if needed.

just been reading all the threads for the past couple days, knew their be some kind of bug or problem. so i figured i just wait til they have all the bugs and whatnot worked out. great to see the scene moving still moving forward. thank you for your continued work devs. sorry to the people who have bricked. i know how that feels :/

Actually i do not trust to BlueDisk team. They did this scum thing by taking Eid0 from people, and all those bricks coming.

Maybe it was from E3----maybe E3 wants people to make a lot of bricks and then people will buy all stock-E3-flashers in order to unbrick their ps3s? What do you think about it?

I'm sure a lot more people than the ones who post on this forum. Just imagine how many other bricks there are. I'm comfy right now on my 3.55. The games I have play fine and at the moment I can use PSN. When PSN is out again, my games still work offline. I'll wait for a stable firmware.

People should have known that though. With anything that's new (new Windows or Mac OS X, new iOS or Android version, new CFW) there will be bugs in the beginning. That's expected, in my opinion. I'm sorry for the people who bricked their systems and I hope they find a way to 'unbrick' them because I know I'd be more than crushed if my system bricked and I left all those unbeaten games on my system, stranded, lol. I'm sure most people saw "NEW CFW 4.21" and just bungee jumped right in, head first. Didn't even check the suspension cables. Is what it is.

I wonder what causes the bricks! I flashed my slim chech 2001a, from kmeaw to rogero 4.21, through recovery. Anybody flash through recovery and still bricked there ps3?

I've flashed both my consoles successfully with Rogero's CFW, a CECHC03 and a CECHA01 (I was going to leave this one on 3.55 but my imported copy of Persona 4 Arena was too big a temptation).

I flashed both to OFW 3.55 and did a factory reset prior to flashing the CFW and both flashes were done from the recovery menu - I'm not saying anyone should take the risk without a hardware flasher, but both of my consoles are working perfectly after following that procedure.

Off Topic: Anyone who has upgraded and didn't have a separate OFW console before, you owe it to yourself to buy Journey :3

i wonder if there is a connection. i know most people are smart, but some people seemed to blatantly disregard any posts on how to make it a "safer" install.

it seems to just be random, since, like i said, there are smart people who bricked. i wonder if dex or tb has affected compatibility somehow.
