  • Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition (and) Transformers Dark of the Moon Update Patches for CFW!

To Quote PS3 News: This weekend Sony has made available a PlayStation 3 Firmware 3.50 update patch v1.01 for Transformers Dark of the Moon allowing the title to now work for PS3 Custom Firmware (CFW) users.

    [IMG][/IMG]

Below is a brief Transformers Dark of the Moon PS3 fix guide from michaelscz:

    BLES01169 EUR VERSION

For Transformers Dark of the Moon EUR (BLES01169) you just only execute this pkg: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

    BLUS30709 USA VERSION

For Transformers Dark of the Moon USA (BLUS30709):

    1. Replace this param.sfo: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
    2. Execute this pkg: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Note: for USA VERSION it is tested with Kmeaw.

You don't need the PARAM.SFO for the US version, just change the PARAM.SFO to 3.55 and let Multiman do it's magic.

Finally, another brief guide from ianrobbie, to quote:
    • Downloaded BLUS30907.
    • Downloaded both files above (thanks for the fix, by the way michaelscz!)
    • Replaced the original PARAM.SFO with the one downloaded from above (as I said before, it's just and EU PARAM.SFO)
    • Opened Multiman
    • Let Multiman change the PARAM.SFO to 3.55 (Don't know if you can do it yourself)
    • Once back to XMB, installed the above update .pkg
    • Loaded the game!

I only got as far as the "Installing" screen before I had to switch it off. I would probably recommend transferring it to internal. It might speed up the installation. It started at 0.01%!

To Quote PS3 News: Following the recent Transformers Dark of the Moon Update Patch for PS3 CFW comes another update patch from Sony this weekend for Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition on PlayStation 3 v3.55 Custom Firmware.

Below are the details from S4W, as follows:

    For: Super.Street.Fighter.IV.Arcade.Edition.PS3-DUPLEX
    File: SFIVAEU355FiX.rar (20.57 MB)
    GameID: BLES00770
    INT: No
EXT: Yes (Run with SELECT+X in multiMAN)
Discless: Yes (from app_home on the XMB)

Notes: All I did was install the game update (which is only for FW 2.80) and edited the sfo.I'v packed the update and pre-edited sfo together.

Tested and working with FW 3.55 but with it only requiring FW 2.80 it should work on 3.41 also (may have to re edit the sfo for 3.41)

    Install Notes:

    1. Install the EP0102-BLES00770_00-SSF4PAT04ARCADEE-A0105-V0100-PE.pkg from the root of a USB stick/drive
    2. Copy the .sfo to /BLES00770/PS3_GAME folder
    3. Load the game from EXT from app_Home (SELEXT+X disc-less).

    Enjoy!

If they do this for Disgaea 4, I'll totally buy the game as I had planned to when the system was first hacked. To bad this kind of coolness is merely a mistake on the publishers part.

Sometimes I get the feeling that the game developers drop the ball when they release a fix under an older firmware or could be that they are part of the scene, because how can they overlook an error such as this? Anyone?

Now I am heading to my local game store to get Transformers.. and play the game.. thanks!

I think this is a good idea for developers. If the game works on older firmwares, people with CFW can still buy them. Win for developers and us. Since we are on CFW, however, we lose online functionality of said games... win for Sony.I see no reason why developers really shouldn't do this (well, except for the obvious pirating thing )

lol Did someone actually think Crapcom gives two shits about things like CFW and homebrew? They're requiring you to have an online connection if you want to play the complete version of their upcoming SF4 re-re-release on PC, they're very anti piracy.

Nah, they changed that after MASSSSSSSSSSSSIVE consumer backlash.

      DRM: We had it wrong.

Sven crying like a bitch because people were "angry that I tried to protect my product" Take a hike, you slag. I've bought every SF game ever made... but I will never put a penny in Capcom's pockets again. Not after this. Funny how he blames "piracy" for not releasing SSFIV on the PC, then "piracy" again for the reason why they were planning on gimping SSFIV-AE on the PC --- yet the X360 and PS3 versions of this game, both retail and SSF4 Add-On DLC, have been leaked and available for all pirates........ except PC gamers.

Where's your excuses now, Sven, you bitch? I am so tired of this "piracy!!!!" scapegoat.

      ~edit~

I apologise for my angry outburst, I'm just tired - as a hardcore PC gamer - of being shafted left, right and centre out of some bullshit notion of "anti piracy" I've purchased every SF game ever made, and pretty much every Capcom game they've ever put out, developed AND published, yet I am constantly treated like scum. I bought TWO copies of SF4 on the PC (one for me and one for my brother), got shafted with the sequel SSF4 and how it never appeared on the PC, now to hear this anti-piracy bullshit about the proposed AE really just grinds my gears.

Agreed sabin1981 - even I hate it when publishers and developers use the "piracy" word as an excuse for crappy sales figures and "gimping" on features

Also, the PC version of this game is apparently going to be released in July - http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2011/a...rcade-edition/ & Super Street Fighter IV - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

However, I'm surprised with the fact that the people responsible for uploading games haven't managed to leak SS4AE for the PC

On the subject of Capcom slags, I hear they've decided to not add a savedata reset option to the 3DS version of RE:Mercs just to kill the second hand value. Fookin twats.

Crapcom ARE LITERALLY taking the mickey with these anti-piracy/anti-reselling practices

Y'know what! F*** THEM, and F*** everyone that likes to carry out anti-piracy/anti-reselling practices!

You and me both m8. I've spent enough money building my gaming rig, only to be treated as the red headed step child of the gaming industry. When my PC has more raw power then both 360+PS3 combined. Yea I own both 360 + PS3(well two 360's) but still. I'm a hardcore PC gamer first and foremost. Have been since the Doom and wolfenstein days.

PC gaming FTW (it is a shame that most game developers/publishers now treat PC gamers like a bunch of antisocial retards with no lives:-( )

This is coming from a punk who only just started PC gaming in 2008! :-)

Alice: Madness Returns came out for the PC recently. It does an integrity check of the game every couple of minutes that slows the game to a craw. I went ahead and cracked it and now it runs flawlessly. Gotta love DRM. When I think about all the hardcore 100% legitimate players that won't use any sort of patch I chuckle.

Same happened here, doesn't matter if i'm going through versus, arcade or even trials (which i intended to do), the game is stuck at the loading screen. Not sure if we're the only one as there was no one else complaining, but there's definetly a problem with their fix.

least it's not nearly as bad as EA and their 'install limit' I bought spore... installed once.. (-1 install), HDD crash (-1install), New graphics card (oh.. hardware change... -1 install) I went to go put it on my laptop.. they wanted me to call them (at 3.99 a minute) and explain to them WHY I used all my installs... I'm sorry.. I have multiple computers.. I would like to be able to play no matter where I am.. be it in my room, at the college, or when I'm at the cottage on a rainy day, I shouldn't need to justify why I installed any given game any ammount of times. Then they turn around and up the limit to 5 (+2 installs) and gave a program to restore an install from a computer when you go to remove it.. but I'm already down 2 installs anyway.. Then there was Mass Effects infamous Phone Home clause, where you HAD to be online to play, yeah.. when I was on dialup.. that was a no go, at least steam gives you the ability to go offline, and still have your content.. /rant/

OT: anyone tried Dark of the Moon.. kinda thinking about getting it.
