Just tried to reply using pictures uploaded via my phone to dropbox!

The first Image on my OFW PS3 reads:

"Access to Sony Entertainment Network by this account has been banned or temporarily suspended."

The second image on my CFW PS3 reads

"You cannot use Playstation Network with this account. (8002A231)"

What do i do

I wouldn't put much stock in that. It's his one and only post. I just logged into my account to see if there was any truth to the ban hammer yet and I'm still good. If he really was banned I'm betting that somebody reported him for cheating or abusive/foul language

Anyway, the error message will tell you exactly how long you were banned whether it was for a week/month/permanent. If this guy really wants help simple things like error codes go a long way. For all we know he's just got a DNS error

I have the pictures, if anyone wants to link me to a place to upload the pictures by all means I will do it... it will show time taken on the EXIF data of the image so any who doubt, just don't believe me. I am not lying about this situation, like I said I would've never expected myself to come across this ban hammer as I would just assume it was for those who were heavily using it on PSN. And no, it's not a DNS error.

As I ALSO said in my post before last, I can log into another account via my 4.31 OFW PS3 quite happily, just not the one that is supposedly 'temporarily banned or suspended'.

Finally, I don't cheat, nor do I use abusive language on BLOPS 2 or any other online game, why would ANYBODY be stupid enough to cheat online when you already have the privilege of going online with a PS3 that shouldn't be allowed?

Well see, that's the thing. I know for a fact that there's a cheat tool (I'm not saying anything more than that) that gives you unlimited health and ammo for Black Ops II and it works in the online mode

I don't know if you did or didn't cheat, but that's the first reason people get booted. If you want to post the pics so we can see them just type in the link but use spaces and dot instead of http code. I'll fix it for you. Like this

Oh I know that's why I wanted to see proof. There's a lot of trolls but I'm not saying you are. I want proof. Other than that I'm still playing online.

Like I said, being on PSN is a privilege when your on a 3.55 PS3, I'm not going to hamper my chances with a 5 year old account by doing something ridiculous like that! Just quite unfortunate I might not be able to get it back

Note that wherever there is a space, there is a DOT.

so for example at the end where it says 2000 01 32 jpg, there is a dot instead of a space!

I fixed the links. For some reason I can't get dropbox images to show on page so people will just have to click on them to see them.

If I've misjudged you I apologize, but I've never seen one instance where someone was banned who wasn't cheating, using bad language, or trying credit card scams. People always say that "Oh, I didn't do anything!!! " but the truth has always come out in the end

I thought the 8002A231 error code he got was just a temporary suspension. If it is temporary then it would not of been for cheating or CFW. It would of been for something like bad language, racism, general verbal abuse etc.

This is actually happening; the banwave is real. A lot of cfw users are reporting this. One or two maybe left uncscathed but all ps3 scene forums you go, you will find a lot of users being banned despite not cheating.( well except NGU) There is no message of any server errors for OFW users and they have been playing BO2 online with no issues.

But ANDEEZY has been telling us, over and over that as long as we don't cheat we are safe so we should not worry about loading multiman while online etc. He was acting like anyone who says otherwise is a idiot and he is 100% correct. Surely the ban wave can't be real!

They're using Black ops 2 as a trap, they know majority of CFW users will jump into the party. When you log in the servers they have to do some kind of check on your console and see if you're on OFW or CFW, then flags you for ban.

Stay away from Black ops and you should be fine, best would be to stay away from PSN until this issue is cleared. Just my opinion.

Now you have to take responsibility for your actions.

It makes sense for Black Ops 2, to have some kind of code when you try to go online for it to see you on CFW. For one, it is the most popular game at the moment. And second off, I got banned from the Black Ops 2 servers when I didn't cheat. I didn't even get to load a game before I was banned so that specific game can definitely tell we're on CFW as no other game does it. I'm still not banned for PSN yet *touch wood*.

I think the hammer is beginning to hit. A few people I know have gotten e-mails from Sony that say their account has been terminated. I will post the e-mail message. One was on 4.21REX and the other was on REBUG 3.55.3 REX. I know I don't need to say this, but... Be careful if you care. If not...I guess do whatever you want lol.

All I was prooving was that a simple logging out to use multiman had no effect on a ban. I still firmly believe in my theory. You don't have the balls to risk your precious ps3 like I do. They'll say "I didn't cheat" and ask for help, but online gaming is filled with cheaters, and those cheaters come from somewhere.

So surely, soon enough Sony will start banning for logging in PSN with a CFW, but as of now, I believe they were just cheating their asses off on Black Ops 2.

Steam now has a system which lets you know who was flagged for cheat in the past. I can tell you that even some of my friends in my Steam friends list were cheaters and I didn't even know about it.

Those idiots deserve to get banned, I have absolutely no pity for cheaters.

I agree with you. Because I am on CFW I got banned from Black Ops 2, before I could even start a game, but because I didn't cheat I can still log on PSN fine.

Didn't Cheat. I got banned. Played BOPS II campaign once, didnt even try to sign in to play multiplayer. Crap Game. BTW i'm on 3.55 REBUG CFW. Still not recieved an email but i'm gettin the same error messages as stated above and when i try to sign into SEN website i'm told that my account has been suspended. Bloody NGU
