I agree with Sony's decision to ban PSN accounts linked to hacked consoles and also retract the PS3 consoles warranty. Due to the massive amount of morons who ruin others online gameplay via cheating I think they deserve to be banned. PSN is a service that is not guaranteed and if you break the rules I think you should be shit-canned. As for the warranty; Sony can snoop around your PS3 while you're online and knows if you're running CFW which voids your warranty. Knowingly installing CFW that it voids your warranty then bitching about it when Sony terminates it is immature and foolish. If you're going to hack something and violate TOS then man up! It's just like these pathetic children who brick their consoles installing CFW and blame the CFW authors - it's not their fault you installed the CFW. No one forced your hand. When you installed CFW you knew you'd lose PSN access and since then there have been brief moments in time where you can bypass Sony's security to gain access to PSN, but you're still violating the rules and I feel no remorse for anyone who has done such a thing. When you get into the "mod" scenes and you void your warranty then that's it. Once you do that whatever happens next may not be beyond your scope of control. Sony has all the rights in the world to get rid of these children who think destroying gameplay for others is "fun". Good riddance. I might get more multiplayer games if/when they do ban these low lifes.

Right now Xb360 is safe online with a backup, its time for c4eva to bring forward his Blu-Ray cfw and maybe a seperate mode in future for homebrew so it would still be safe to go on psn using ofw+cfw for the drive, get ready to buy them verby bdr and a burner :-)

It would be interesting now that the master key has been released if it would make it easier to release a cfw for the drive or has c4eva already dumped it?

i mean, if you're playing legit games, then enjoy. if you're playing an early release, better delete those trophies before you sync it up to your account. idk...i'm pretty sure most people are set in their ways on this.

I think it's just a scare tactic. I went online with an early release of Black Ops II. Unless they've been having server problems all day, then it looks like I was banned from the Black Ops server.

My PSN account is still intact and honestly I have no concern over it one way or the other. They'd only hurt themselves if they banned me from PSN because I don't play online anyway. I just buy DLC from the store

No. Not at all. This is not the first time they (Sony) have tried to use scare tactics to get you to go official. Just check occasionally to see if there are any real reports of bans and not just rumors and speculation

I signed-in my sen account yesterday , synced trophies ( no BO2 trophies) downloaded some stuff from psn and chatted with my friends and the account isn't banned yet.
P.S : i didn't play BO2.

Woah hang on hang on hang on.... I remember this from the 3.55 days and for long periods of time (before the completely stopped 3.55 CFW machines from being able to sign into PSN) I was playing lots of different games online and never got banned. I eventually updated that PS3 to OFW 4.01 and it signed in to PSN fine at that stage. There was a history faker program which disguised the software/games you were running and that info was sent to Sony so they couldnt see you were running homebrew etc. Also didnt someone change the title ID of Multiman at one point so it showed up as a legit game? Unless Sony can see something from your console (which differs from the OFW 4.30) when you sign in to PSN (which MS can do with RGH and JTAG consoles) then this is just another threat from Sony.....

Deja Vu at the hight of the 3.55 CFW era Sony did the scare tactic by sending emails to psn sen customers saying they have found unsigned software on your system. I found it funny because at that time my friend was on OFW and he got the same email and he never installed CFW on his machine. Black ops 2 is very buggy. My cousin just got it and it took him awhile to get connect and the gameplay was very buggy. People should be careful through if they care about online game play. As long as your ps3 is connected to your Internet modem or router it is sending and receiving information so Sony can scan your system and ban you if they please. And I know a few people got banned from Xbox and ps3 because they were stupid greedy and couldn't wait. I was reading the playstation website and I laughed at the comments on die CFW and yes Sony kill those bastards and kick them out of our servers so we can enjoy our online gameplay. Those people really don't know anything. Before CFW people were glitching and modifying games. After 3.55 CFW was closed off from online gaming people were still glitching games

Is there a list over how much improved loading time there is when loading a game from a HDD compared to loading the same game from a Bluray disc?

rough (fake :P) estimate, like 4x. load time is near nil for most games from a drive. the new budokai (idk if you know how it works) but you can get like one saibaman and the others barely start popping up before it loads with a drive, on disc it's quite easy to get a bunch on screen.
