As long as encryption doesn't pose a problem running "man in the middle" on the actual PS3 or your home computer should solve this issue. The trick will be to redirect packets to the local host, analyze them, replace the offending packets, and redirect them to Sony. Hopefully it will be implemented as part of CFW and it could be used to control information sent between your PS3 and Sony much like a firewall.

YOU own the machine YOU just bought. But Sony owns PSN. You still can get online, you just can't get on the PSN. Ever heard of X Link Kai? Not so long ago I was reading that people were using it for PS3, look into it. If you want to play in Sonys yard you have to follow their rules. I'm all for owning what you pay for, the PS3, but you don't own PSN.

Waninkoko said he had a 3.56 release in the works but sony through a wrench it with it's second patch which forced them to virtually restart the customizing..I'm sure someone has one ready by now but would only wait for sony to make it's next move..

Nice idea but I think that it would've been done a long time ago if it was so simple. Not only is the data encrypted but even if you succeeded, modifying packets on the fly with MITM would probably make the game very laggy.

Hi guys after reading this post on another website ps3hax.net and reading every ones comments several users said to protest sony products tvs bluray players ngp ps3 everything that has their brand. If you really cant hold yourself back buy it used so sony wont profit.Even though we are not the whole PS3 community we would hurt sony and we could have many other nonhackers support us just with what sony is trying to do (take over the world haha) please start threads and polls to boycott their products everywhere you can post. Sony thinks they can jus throw some money around and make everyone do what they want but they cant make us buy their products.all support is appreciated.

What I usually notice is the only people complaining about blackops hacks are doing so to justify having a bad death to kill ratio and use that excuse a ways of justifying that it isn't their skills that are lacking but that someone else is cheating. I've played over 50 rounds of black ops in the last in the last 5 days and haven't come across one single thing that makes me say wow he just walked through a wall and flew in the air.

Those kind of people are one of the reasons why Sony has their crosshairs on people who use homebrew, because they think that we use homebrew, we go around and hack online games like little pussies. I'm sorry, but if I play an online game, I play it like it's supposed to be played, with skill, and not cheats. Those people who do shit like that should have their console banned from PSN entirely.
