Solar.V1 - Multifunctional Homebrew Screensaver - 3D Support

Developer, and administrator of Tortuga-Cove, Condorstrike, also know for his Themes and the helpMME app, has released a new application, for your other homebrews, Solar v1. Solar is a 3D/2D Screen Saver meant to prevent screen burns while running homebrew(s). It comes full, with effects and sounds, including MP3 playback. The author is still working on FTP, bringing new screens, and more features. This current build was released for Rogero Manager, but other may inquire about incorporating future compatibility for their homebrews!

Ok guys here we go, Finally I present to you Solar.V1 stable, Multifunctional Homebrew screensaver.
I made this app as a companion to other Homebrews, with the intention to reduce or eliminate screen-burns, and also grant FTP access while the screensaver runs.
This version I made for Rogero Manager, but any other that might want it, just let me know since with a proper SELF to spawn to it can work with any other apps.

Changelog:

3 stable screens timed to eliminate screen burns.

dynamic effects.
This version is works with Rogero Manager.

Future Updates:

Ftp, ....still doesn't work right, so I'll leave it for a future update.
More screens.
More Dynamic effects, eg: asteroid hitting a planet.
Comets, well that already works but too late to add it.
User MP3 playback by drag/drop to CNDR00001 directory.

How does this prevent screen burn? Also what is SB? Does it damage your TV? If so this is the first i've heard of homebrew presenting any more of a risk of SB than anything else.

I assume SB is Screen Burn, and this application PREVENTS it, not PROMOTE it.

Yes i know. I was the one who abbreviated screen burn to SB. No where does it says SB in the OP. Also if you read my post i know that this app prevents it, but i was wondering how it does this, as well as saying I'd never heard that homebrew in general is more prone to causing screen burn than anything else (such an an xbox gamer movie etc.)

Oh my bad, but when you said, "What is SB", I figured I would tell you what it was It is the second line in the changelog, that says it switches between screens to prevent the image from burning into your screen. Basically, when you have left your screen on, let's say Rogero Manager for example, and left it idle, there would be a chance of screen burn for certain types of TVs and monitors. This runs in the background, and will kick in to prevent that from happening.

Right now, it is just for Rogero. I am sure as soon as other devs would like to use this in their projects, then we will see it in their projects.

this doesn't "screenburn" your TV since it is MOVING!
if it would be just a very bright sun and some other stuff standing still, it could screenburn

but actually you don't need a screensaver since 1998 or something because like 99% of the new Monitors/TVs don't screenburn

if I find out which kind of TVs do screenburn I'll add it to this post (read about it some time ago)

FYI
SELECT pauses the music
START resumes it.
L3 respawns Solar
And all the other buttons will launch the manager it's attached to

i work for panasonic in the uk an can tell you that on MOST modern plasma's (except for some of the cheap brands with inferior parts) screen burn is a thing of the past this is mainly for those with older generation flat screen tv's

Really? My 50" plasma screen burned all the time and it was made in 2009. But, Let it run alittle on TV and it would disappear. I hated it. Took it back and got A 52" LCD much much better.

Not every one can afford NEW TV's mind'ya...

P.S. Love the screen saver. to bad the PS3 it self doesn't have something similar.

there are no leds on a plasma screen, led tvs refer to the way a screen is lit. an lcd is lit by tubes behind the screen ,an led ( which still has an lcd screen ) has rows of led lights which line the edges of the screen and pass thro the screen to light it , plasma tvs pass an electrical current thro the plasma itself to achieve the light for the picture.

out of curiosity which brand tv was the 50" plasma?

i myself am one of those who cant afford a new tv ( saving hard for a 55" )

i personally would never buy another lcd/led tv as i feel the colours are unnatural especially skin tones

but anywaythink this app is a great idea whether its to prevent screen burn or just to look pretty

You're gonna sh*t... LMFAO, It was Panasonic. Go figure... hahaha Traded it for a Philips. Goes with the surround sound DVD/Stereo/Theater center. So it worked out in the end. Didn't even realize i did that till I hit the power on the DVD for Stereo and it turned on my TV.
